ColdSVT Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I was fishing today and set the hook on a bass and spool just spun. So i checked everything and reset my drag. Same problem!. I locked the star down and i may have one or two pounds of drag total...sucks...that reel has been great to me for ten years! Quote
Hogsticker Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I had one too some time ago. Thing went forever. Replace the drag washers with some carbons and see if that helps Quote

ColdSVT Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 Using braid? I used braid off and on with that reel for years...the braid is not slipping...plus i checked that first Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I got your email and was going to suggest the braid possibility. Since that's off the table, send it in and I'll get on it. Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted June 13, 2014 Super User Posted June 13, 2014 I recently had a carbonlite johnny morris reel from BPS do the same thing. I sent it in because I found out I got a warranty but forgot I had it lol Quote
Flukeman Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 i used to have some of those reels and may even still have one laying around. Same thing happened to a couple of them, had them serviced and they were good as new. The only downfall to those reels I ever found, was how much they weighed. Mine were great work horses. Quote
