bassinyea Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Have seen these crankbaits a while ago and was interested in one just never pulled the trigger. Saw two left on the shelves at a local wal mart and decided to get them. They are the series 2 which is the medium size i guess, cant find it anywhere on tackle warehouse or bass pro. I can find the series 1 and series 3 all over the place but this is a series 2 which says it will run 8-22 which by looking at it looks like it may run 12-13 feet realistically. I was looking for some feedback online and didnt find much about this bait even though its been out for 2 years. Anyone have any experience or opinions of this bait? Quote
TNBassin' Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 Tackle warehouse has them. They are Rick Clunn baits. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 12, 2014 Global Moderator Posted June 12, 2014 Tackle warehouse has them. They are Rick Clunn baits. They don't carry the size he's asking about though. The series 2 realistically runs about 8-10 feet on 10lb line in my experience with them. They have a very tight wiggle and have been a killer little smallmouth bait for me. I didn't even realize they offered a mid range size until I saw them on the shelves, also at Wal Mart. There just seems to be no information on that size out there and almost no where that offers them, but they are a very good little bait. They come with much better hooks than any other Luck E Strike bait that I've fished so far also. Quote
bassinyea Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 bluebasser thanks a lot for the info. I am going to try them out for the first time this friday and see what I think. We have been catching a lot of postspawn bass out of deep laydown trees and basically bought this bait for bumping around them. We have been catching our fish pitching creature baits in the trees but want to give the fish a different look. Are they really as hang resistant as shallower square bills? I also noticed that the hooks that came on the series 2 baits looked good and not paper thin like the hooks they put on some of their other baits. Quote
