rowyourboat Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 im interested in trying the biffle bugs with the biffle heads. the lake i usually fish is mainly smallmouth. it is deepand clear. fish tend to hand out somewhere between 15 and 40 feet. my question is, what weight would you try for these depths? also, are these any good at night? quanjig Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I would go with 1/2oz on 15lb floro in open water at those depths. If you are fishing in and around "super sticky stuff" bump it up to 17lb. Quote
Super User webertime Posted June 11, 2014 Super User Posted June 11, 2014 I use 1/2-3/4 oz on Champlain (clear and rocky in most good smallie spots) in water 4' to 40' depending on wind and current. Quote
joeeagles36 Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I have got a pack recently and I do not have baffle head hooks. how do most of you rig them weighted texas rig? and how do you fish them ? thanks. Quote
Big Swimbait Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 You can fish it like any other creature bait, but it really excels with a Biffle head or any of the other swing-head jigs fished like a crank bait on the bottom. Quote
