Pat Brown Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Need to reach out to Old Navy and see if they're interested in becoming an endemic sponsor of amateur child bass fishing. 🤔🤔🤔 1 Quote

Sorry guys. Too many opportunities for treble hooks to ruin perfectly good pants! I agree with mom, never wear nice clothes fishing. One catfish and it’s all over 1 4 Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted March 18, 2024 Super User Posted March 18, 2024 I recommend the Fashion and Haircut Police find a more appropriate jurisdiction, such as Senior proms or Celebrity journalism. 1 4 Quote
Super User Swamp Girl Posted March 18, 2024 Super User Posted March 18, 2024 My fishing britches are so saggy and stained. It's a good thing I don't photograph them. I'd get a citation for sure. 6 minutes ago, MIbassyaker said: I recommend the Fashion and Haircut Police find a more appropriate jurisdiction, such as Senior proms or Celebrity journalism. I repeat my assertion that the best childhoods come with scabs, scrapes, scuffs, and ripped jeans and by ripped jeans, I mean honestly ripped jeans, not those silly, pre-ripped jeans that are "fashionable." 2 1 Quote

Is that really a thing? "Pre-ripped jeans"? That's worse than buying faded jeans. Heck, wash um' a couple times and you're there! The best jeans are the ones covered with spring babies! 6 2 Quote

I couldn't believe it either when I saw some for sale. Apparently its the current younger generation's definition of fashion. 1 Quote

Didn't realize I was so cutting edge in my youth, ripping jeans on barbed wire. I think you should be making arrests! This type of ignorance is criminal! 1 1 Quote

Super User LrgmouthShad Posted March 18, 2024 Super User Posted March 18, 2024 @gimruis just wait until I break out my sunglasses. I have a feeling the fashion police is going to…. Have an issue with them. Y’all were spared from them my last trip because the sun never showed itself. Absolutely nasty weather. There’s a reason I picked spinnerbaits. 2 Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted March 18, 2024 Super User Posted March 18, 2024 First time I saw my niece wearing pre ripped jeans I gave her crap about it. She says oh yeah like you've never worn ripped jeans...I said of course I have, with rips and tears I've earned not paid for. 2 hours ago, gimruis said: Brian, I'm gonna be honest with you, that smells like pure gasoline. 2 1 Quote
Super User LrgmouthShad Posted March 18, 2024 Super User Posted March 18, 2024 Tried the Yamamoto Ichi worm bank fishing quick after work today. I pitched it into trees. Found it difficult to keep from hanging. Lost three rigs and had two bites that felt like massive fish but must’ve not hooked them good. Felt head shakes on one before shook me off. Back to the drawing board on the proper setup with this worm. Probably need to use a different hook and rod. 3 1 Quote

Super User N Florida Mike Posted March 19, 2024 Super User Posted March 19, 2024 Got out for 2.5 hours before dark and managed 10. The watermelon seed super fluke got 3, and the june bug uv speed worm the rest. 6 out of 7 caught on the speed worm were caught on the retrieve… 23 Quote

Super User NorcalBassin Posted March 19, 2024 Super User Posted March 19, 2024 Been having some nice early spring weather and had to take a day off work to test the waters. Haven't moved up yet, but we still crossed paths with quite a few. They've all been eating well... can't wait to hopefully cross paths with some plus sized girls the next few weeks. 24 Quote

People would hang a perfectly good pair of jeans from a clothes line, blast them with a 12ga and wear the finished product. Apparently it’s still a thing. 8 Quote
Pat Brown Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 A few yesterday after work. My first fish of the year on the old drop shot and my first fish on the new Rapala soft plastic swim bait (the judge or something?). I really like the action on it and the plastic seems soft yet durable! Jake got his on a t rigged zoom speed craw in the Kentucky special color. 17 Quote

Looks like you overruled Mother's decision on the holey jeans too. Back in compliance I see. Hole-less jeans increase your catch by 17%. Proven once again. 2 Quote
Super User Swamp Girl Posted March 19, 2024 Super User Posted March 19, 2024 Way to go, Jake! You're a fine apple that fell from a solid tree. @NorcalBassin: Wow, more fat bass at BR! Way to keep pace with the southern boys. #representtheWest 1 1 Quote

"Now, men, there are a few things we gotta get straightened out right at the start to avoid any grief later on. Here at Bass Resource, we have two basic rules. Memorize them so that you can say them in your sleep. The first rule is, 'Obey all rules.' The second rule is, 'Do not wear jeans with holes.' Gentlemen, it has been mathematically proven that you will catch 17% fewer bass per hole in your jeans." 5 Quote
