I bet you're right. I think your total catch was one of the best of the year at BR.

I could have easily surpassed 100 fish if I just wanted to catch numbers. A Ned rig was almost every cast but mostly small fish. I had an 11 minute phone conversation with my wife while the camera was running. I went back through the video and I had caught 17 while I was on the phone with her 🤣 I don't usually just leave it running like that so it was funny to watch how fast they were biting.

I love hundred-fish days. I've said many times that I love a busy boat and a hundred-bass day delivers that, but you had an even better day, i.e. quantity plus quality.

What a difference a day makes.  I was pleased with 5 yesterday in a 2 hour trip.   I had high hopes for today.  It's warmer, cloudy, southwest wind, and all kinds of stuff that should help the bite.   It took me almost an hour to get the skunk out of the boat.   I ended up catching 3 in 4 hours.  I only got 2 pictures.  I caught the 2nd one I caught on a Bandit 300.   I was holding it by it's belly when I removed the trebles.   After removing the lure it slipped out of my hand, back into the lake.  It wasn't big,  maybe 14" at best.   The first one was 14", the last one was 12".

Had a rare windy day and battled the waves but finally got a 17”er with a mini stick-o worm up against a cliff IMG-3657.jpg

That one had a spinal injury I think, it was pretty humpbacked.

Biggest and smallest bass today with the B Viper 8. Awesome day. Schoolies working bait in deep grass around the boat docks. Got a bit excited watching them eat and setting the hook too soon. Couldn't believe how small the little guy was eating a bait that big

Fished my close to home lake yesterday and knew it was gonna be a challenge to get bit after seeing the ramp and conversing with a Ranger. The lake was being dropped for dock/seawall repair. They drop it 3' a day for two days and the fish never seem to be happy.

I found the bait, but the bait was everywhere with few fish around. Hit a bridge where the current was pulling hard and caught a couple on the bottom with the spoon in 26'. Found my third on a tiny rock pile in 18' off the side of a roadbed With a wobblehead Sukushi bug.

With some luck hopefully winter fishing season is here, she ate a Damiki Axe Blade in about 25ft of water chasing around bait balls.

Gorgeous fish @AlabamaSpothunter

I think we made it.  This girl ate it over 10 feet of water way off the bank.  Saw some shad busting as the sun was setting and walked towards it before I started casting.

Thanks Pat, and right back at ya!

I agree, I think within two weeks the fish will be firing on all cylinders, and it'll finally be green tuna and big girl season....FOMO has the wheel at that point 😎

Nah she was bleeding and nowhere near a PB so a quick photo and away she went.

I'd say a fat 3.5 if I had to guess.  She was gutted but didn't have the widest shoulders I've ever seen.  Heck of a fight though!

My buddy suggested we try upstream toward his house for the evening , it worked out well! Got one somewhere around 20” with a swimbait and a few more dinks. My buddy caught some with a white grub, water temp around 55ish

Thanks @RipzLipz, that fish weighed 4.9 which surprised me a bit as I try not to weigh them if I think they're under 5lbs.

Last couple of weeks have been brutal, she looked like a teener 🤣

@Pat Brown yeah the bulge was quite obvious. The bulge of her belly, to be perfectly clear & concise & avoid any potential jokes. "That’s what she said" is my area. 🤣

I’m seeing a similar trend @AlabamaSpothunter, all of a sudden they have started hitting again after a lull. As long as it’s not under 25 or so degrees , it should be fun from here on out

@AlabamaSpothunter I can empathize - my summer was long & quite fruitless as far as quality. I’m usually not fishing with electronics but in the process of converting ours used in the bass boat for a portable option. Long story but my dad is the most impatient angler & refuses to open his mind & use tech to his advantage when able. I’m going to get this stuff hooked up & find these fish during our less productive periods or at least that is my hope. Add another piece to the puzzle so to speak. He can sit at home or go play his precious golf - I’m putting in the time.

Solid one on a suspending tiny klash. Air temp 35 water felt low 40s. Fish were surprisingly shallow on rocky banks and bluff walls. The key was suspending baits fished with long pauses.
