What kind of a knothead parks in front of a boat ramp? That beats all I've ever heard! The redneck in me would want to leave them a sour note on the wind shield. Thanks for the easy access pal!

I carry a tow strap in my truck. That knucklehead would have got moved.

Well I figured that I would update you guys on how these 2 fish faired with my cooking abilities. I pan fried them and had them with coleslaw, cornbread, cottage cheese. These 2 fish fed my wife, mom, oldest son and I had a small chunk or two. I wanted to do something special for my family, my wife loves eating bass and my mom has been harassing me for a fish dinner with all of them that I catch. I really liked how the fish came out, I have never fried fish before. Everything was delicious and I was impressed with how the fish came out, that’s not a easy task lol.

Mid 80s with light breezes and partly cloudy skies. Nearly 3.5 inches of rain this past week has really cleared up a few of the micro lakes. Didn’t see any bass up shallow on the flats near the shoreline, so went small and skinny on the finesse worm and added a tiny bit of weight to speed up the drop and focused just off the breakline into deeper water. Apparently the bass liked the approach, as I got an even 20 fish today up to 17”.

Even though they nuked these spots and killed a lot of the Chara in the shallows, I was happy to see a few sprigs of floating pondweed trying to establish themselves amongst the devastation here and there. Nature abhors a vacuum.

I caught covid, rocky mountain spotted fever, and also this smallmouth bass. Not my usual stringer. I don't feel well at all. But not bad enough to miss night fishing...yet. Also being outside helps the sneezing

Streak is alive and well, went out after my girl went to bed. Got a quick fish in the rain and came home after it started to really come down. Fish is for Tues 7/11. Off a carolina rig and a zoom lizard.

I want to fish like @Team9nine one day. He's always shifting gears and using different lures.

@thediscochef, I urge you to not fish for a few nights. Let your body use all its resources to get well instead of catching bass. In the meantime, your seven-pounders will only grow larger.

He skirts the law almost every outing though with the fashion police.  Stay on path @ol'crickety.

Wish I could get 3.5 inches of rain in a week.  I haven't had that much since May 1.

I love @Team9nine Dr. P shirt, clearly the bass did too! Maybe he has it dialed in on the fashion side and we need to get on board with ripped jeans and Dr. P shirts to catch more bass!

Whoa whoa whoa lets not get carried away here.  Ripped jeans and shorts?  An emphatic no.  A vintage Dr Pepper t shirt?  Ok, the fashion police approves this time.

I do too! That's what I wanted to say but I didn't want my BR friends to see how deep the red runs in my neck. I've got two straps and no tolerance for fools. Glad to know I am not alone!?

I would also venture to guess you have some back up!

Bob and Tim, I'd prefer that you tow those cars into the water. That's what a loading ramp is for, after all.

Dang Katie! That dammed stream has got you all worked up! I just want the blocked vehicles out of the way, not pulled into the water permanently, but don't give Tim any ideas, else we may have to raise some bail money!

Tim is considerate. He'll mount a Mercury outboard on their rear bumper before he launches them.

There's already a Ford Escape (I think) sunk in the water near the ramp that @TnRiver46 was talking about. Been down there for a while.

It would take 2 minutes tops to throw a strap on it, drag it out of the way, and be gone. I wouldn't launch and risk coming back to my rig being trashed. I'd just pull it out from in front of the ramp, and laugh all the way to a different launch.

Nah. Getting caught might cost a few bucks, but it wouldn't land ya in the pokey.

Found Off-Ramp Drowned?

Threw one of the little ultralight lures I picked up today out back for a few minutes to see how it runs. Topwater propbait, this little 11 incher seemed to think it looked good enough to eat. Followed it in twice, decided to give it small pops instead of a steady retrieve, swirled on it once, then struck. He missed it, and it took a few more casts to coax him again, but he nailed it the second time. Super fun little fight on the 6' ultra light casting and 6lb line.

Still a rough year for me size-wise. Fingers crossed for a big summer girl soon (and a break in the weather on my days off please).
