Sorry, but I don't do weight guesstimates. I leave that business to psychics, and to those with special access to high resolution spy satellites. All I can say, and as a first hand witness, is that several 7-8 pounders, one 8 1/2, and one 9.22 have been caught at this particular lake. It has tons of forage, and the gene pool exists there, so who knows? We've got some big ones in a few lakes around here, for the north.

A small lake that doesn't allow boats was absolutely on fire this weekend!

Never put the topwater down and it was the best bite I've had all year for Largemouth

Went out to a local lake this morning, with a buddy in his boat.  Woke up at 4:30, got the the lake and was on the water by 5:45.  Caught about 40 fish between us.  Caught my first 10 inch worm offshore fish.  Caught a couple fish on my new Lake Fork Flutter spoon.  Did a bunch of junk fishing.  The lake was super windy and white capping, so we lost about 80% of the lake, since it was unfishable in the boat.  We left around 1.  Overall a fun day, and really enjoyed learning to fish a 10 inch worm offshore.  Spoon bite is pretty cool too!

Yup, I like it a lot.  It flutters well, and pops right off of rocks, doesn't get hung very easy.  It also cast really well, doesn't feel like 3/4 of an ounce.   Bombshell shad was the only color Cabelas had, so that is what I got.  One fish, as big as the spoon, came off at that boat after it jumped.  Other wise it kept them pinned.

You getting one @LrgmouthShad?

Well I finally caught my first jig fish today, three total on the jig nothing huge 13-14 inches but I am extremely happy ?. Caught a 16 inch on a walking bait while getting my braid hung up on a log lol. Went to get my line off it and it exploded on my lure just setting there. The thing I am most happy about today is that I put my soon to be 14 year old daughter on her pb largemouth, of all things a nose hooked super fluke white with chartreuse tail, her first time ever using that bait. 18 inches long and 11.5 girth9D51CE20-A30D-47A7-BF93-EC30669CF9DF.jpeg.7a4c3cd988ead47479254d2cbc86c48a.jpeg

I caught 7 fish today, of which 5 were caught on a white pond magic spinner bait! It was choppy today, but if you are fishing from shore like me than you should be fine. Biggest was around 2, and my mom got 2 fish(on my pole)

Saw your edit for the question just now. I am intrigued by spoons and I really love Nichols. It isnt on my immediate bait monkey shopping list, though. But nice to hear good things about it.

Got the boat out on the local reservoir the past two days chasing bass. For as long as I’ve fished here, one pattern I can always count on is the fish moving to riprap banks every June after spawning. Lots of theories as to why, but you can pretty much count on it like clockwork. Put a BOOYAH jig on my Evergreen Combat Stick and just moved around the lake both days stopping at every riprap bank I came to. Ended up with 33 bass total in two afternoon trips.

My wife asked me why I was going to go fishing in the rain, I told her that I had a feeling top water was calling. Nothing special but I got my first few buzz bait fish today and my first frog fish of the year ? I would have had 2 on the frog but I think I blew the hook set, too early I think. He was on but came off oh well I am great full either way. Buzz bait fish 18.5x11.5 frog fish 17x12 it was a good day.

Man you all have some beautiful country up your way.  Makes me lament that I couldn't convince the wife to let me take a job up in Hamilton (about 40 miles south of Missoula).  To think I could be waking up to views like that every day.

First cast on the new PopMax.  pop pop POP slurrrrrp.  Little dink but still fun

Bite was weird tonight.  Lots of little nibbles and short strikes.  Caught 4 with this 2 pounder being the best of the bunch on the 10" berkley power worm.

I couldn't have asked for better conditions than last night, but they were hard to find in the usual places. Eventually I got a few midgets to savagely attack my Beast Coast Miyagi on the end of dumb bomb casts out into the middle. A bassy smell on the thumb beats a head-to-toe stench of skunk any day.

Father’s Day fishing session with my Son. Lots of Bass and Bluegill caught. We had a great time. He caught the biggest fish that day.

I am very proud as he is a lot further along with his fishing skills than I was at his age. Especially with a baitcaster.

Went to a great lake about an 1 hour from the house, with my buddies.  It rained on us a little bit, and I only caught a few fish here and there, for a little awhile, until my buddies keyed me in on a secret pattern :wink3:

Caught my biggest(pictured) on a lure that @BoatSquirrel sent me!  A savage gear line through swimbait.  It is an awesome lure!
