Super User BrianMDTX Posted March 13, 2021 Super User Posted March 13, 2021 Ok, so this isn’t a trophy lol. But...it is significant. I went back out this afternoon from the bank, with the intention of fishing either new baits, or ones that I’ve tried with no success. Was only out an hour and had several strikes but no hooksets. Until this guy. On a Fat IKA. The one bait I said I had basically given up one. Glad I tried it again! 20 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 15, 2021 Global Moderator Posted March 15, 2021 Rained on me basically all day Saturday and the wind blew pretty good, but I wanted to get some practice fishing from my kayak in less than favorable conditions to get ready for tournament season, wish granted. Caught over 40 fish but never could get a big one, biggest was right at 18". Jerkbaits, traps, bladed jig, spinnerbait, jig, and first frog fish of the year even. Water temps were 50-51.8. 26 Quote
Biglittle8 Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 Only fish all morning. Windy and cooler today. 17 Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted March 16, 2021 Super User Posted March 16, 2021 Went out for a few hours. Best fish boated was this 3.3lber that liked a Phenix bladed jig ? 24 Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted March 18, 2021 Super User Posted March 18, 2021 Got out on the home lake this evening . The bite has finally picked up. It was very windy where I wanted to fish , so I anchored and fished a deep eel grass edge with the watermelon red super fluke and it produced a few fish. Switched to a june bug UV speed worm and decided to fish the south and southeast shoreline and got 6 more including a 4 3/4 pound fish as the sun went down. She hit the speed worm as I was reeling in, and put up a good fight, peeling drag several times. Felt good to finally get on some fish. It was the slowest winter Ive had in years. 23 Quote
galyonj Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 Snuck out at lunch. We've...had some weather lately. Today was clear and pretty, but the wind was gusting and the water clarity was hilariously bad. Even for here on Fort Loudoun, where the water clarity is usually crappy at best. This little guy walloped a swim jig, though. And that was cool! Then my vape fell off the rock I was sitting on, into the drink. And that was not cool at all. 17 Quote

Super User Team9nine Posted March 21, 2021 Super User Posted March 21, 2021 Finally set the crappie sticks down and hit a local reservoir for bass for the first time this year. We had 2" of rain a couple days back that has turned most of the reservoirs into chocolate milk, with high water conditions. This one is a smaller community reservoir that doesn't flood like the bigger flood control reservoirs. Stayed down near the dam where the water was just a good stain and caught half a dozen keepers in about 3.5 hours. Lost one that felt like a big girl, but caught a couple other decent fish to make up for it. Might go back in a couple days again if the winds stay down. Everything on jigs today. 23 Quote
Tucker Berry Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 I’ve caught a few since this but it’s my most recent. Caught on headbanger rocker head with a yoto-worm. 17 Quote
Biglittle8 Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 Caught 2 today, one on a copper willow blade spinner and one on a Z-Man Chatterbait tipped with a Baby Brush Hog. 17 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 22, 2021 Global Moderator Posted March 22, 2021 After all the rain and cold temps the last few days, it was a tough go this weekend. Finally found some up way shallower than I expected and they were flat trying to swallow my spinnerbait. Wish I'd found them sometime sooner than the last hour before I had to leave. 16 Quote
Biglittle8 Posted March 22, 2021 Posted March 22, 2021 Today's bounty! Both on Z-Man Chatterbait with Baby Brush Hog in pumpkin. Was cool and very windy this am, but got hot late morning. 15 Quote
