Yes, I forgot to mention I also discovered a new species in the kayak. I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out. I think my phone was trying to "help" me out there unnecessarily. That’s the reflection of the kayaks color on the Bass scales. Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted November 21, 2020 Super User Posted November 21, 2020 Got this one with a live bream just as the sun went down... 11 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted November 22, 2020 Global Moderator Posted November 22, 2020 Got me a nice 4 lb 10 oz largemouth on a jerkbait in swift water. 6 lb line on a spinning reel! I had to backreel a ton of line when the current caught the boat, thought we had a huge trout or walleye 26 Quote

BigAngus752 Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 I threw a lipless at a single, 2in steel pipe sticking out of 3ft of water. I caught a small, 2lb bass. I threw at the same pipe again and got nothing. Third cast was a 17in walleye. Fourth cast was a striper. At first I thought this was funny, unique, and entertaining. After further thought...I started to feel like it was creepy. Where they having a multi-species fish meeting? Where they talking about us? I'm a little concerned... 22 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 22, 2020 Global Moderator Posted November 22, 2020 Got out in the kayak Friday to fight the wind. I wasn't supposed to have to fight the wind, but like usual, the weatherman was wrong. At a lake I haven't fished much but has a good population of big fish, so that's what I was hoping to find. I found them, but man, my execution on putting them in the boat was terrible. Both the bigger ones I caught were hooked in the bottom lip. Caught them off the same spot, on the same bait, on almost back to back cast. A homemade black and blue bladed jig caught a majority of the fish for me including my bigger ones. The bigger one is my newest kayak PB at 4.98lbs. 17 Quote
Kyle S Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Trip to the Pamunkey River yesterday. A few chunky fish were caught, plus ol' humpback made an appearance and destroyed a hook during his arrival into the boat... Apparently humpback's photo size is too large... working on it. 16 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted November 23, 2020 Super User Posted November 23, 2020 Thanks to @WRB, for the Nichols spinnerbait. This thing moves a LOT of water. Pulled this gal out from behind a stump this weekend. 21 1 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted November 24, 2020 Super User Posted November 24, 2020 First day of Thanksgiving break and it might be the only day where the weather would cooperate enough for me to go so I took full advantage of it. Started out cold, 36 degrees with a light wind. By about 10 it was blowing about 10-20 at times and made the fishing tough. I did manage to get a couple good ones though so all was not lost. Not bad for a couple late November fish. First one was 3-9 and the second was 3-14. Sure thought it was 4, but needed a couple more shad. LOL 19 Quote
lo n slo Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 only caught 5 this afternoon ahead of the cold front that’s coming through tonight. this 18” spot hit a drop shot in 20 fow. 16 Quote

Super User king fisher Posted November 28, 2020 Super User Posted November 28, 2020 Here is a couple pictures of my biggest bass of the Thanksgiving holiday at lake Chapala. I was lucky there was a commercial fisherman close by to take my picture when I caught this 7.2 pound fatty. So far lots of fish but few big ones. One more day to try and get one bigger. 17 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted November 28, 2020 Global Moderator Posted November 28, 2020 In the typically “day after” thanksgiving tradition, we go fishing in the morning and shooting in the afternoon 19 Quote
JWall14 Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Been a while. First hybrid bass ever! Caught it on a spook in late November. Hit a few times before connecting right at the boat! Doesn’t get better then that! 24.5” length and 18” girth. 17 Quote
Nelson Wormefeller Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Caught a fish that looked kind of skinny, when I got home and looked at the pictures I noticed a hook sticking out of it. 7 1 Quote
