Super User N Florida Mike Posted October 19, 2020 Super User Posted October 19, 2020 Started back to afternoon fishing now that it’s cooling off some. Got 12 , mostly on watermelon red super flukes , and a couple was on a 12 inch ribbon tail worm. Lost the two biggest fish I hooked, which has been the trend lately... 13 Quote
keagbassr Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Got out 8-1 today. Caught 6, 1 on a plopper,1 on a Frog and 4 on a spinnerbait with the best at 4-1. 13 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 21, 2020 Global Moderator Posted October 21, 2020 After work trip this morning. Great fishing weather, so not very nice weather really. 39* at the ramp and misting with a 10mph SE wind. I started out struggling, just covering water with a DT6 and RES 2tap mostly. Finally figured out they were TIGHT to the weedlines and cover but wouldn't eat a slow moving bait for me. It was on after that. Mixed in a Booyah Covert once I found how close they were to the willows and caught several on it. Biggest was on the DT6. Leaves are falling fast and willows are dying off so lots of lures to be found also. Caught bass number 2020 for 2020 (plus a few more), and a bonus white bass. #2020 15 Quote
ryanerb Posted October 22, 2020 Posted October 22, 2020 What bfs setup for 1/10 with a baitcaster? also: I went out for 3 hours. One nice 3lb fish on the dropshot on the edge of a weed line. Water was dirty and water temp about 70. 8 Quote

Super User deep Posted October 23, 2020 Super User Posted October 23, 2020 Went out yesterday, after almost 3 months I think. Caught several small bass, one pretty big green sunfish, one large crappie, and a 13" citation yellow perch. Plastics and jerkbaits. Pretty Fall colors, and a beautiful sunset too. 13 Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted October 23, 2020 Super User Posted October 23, 2020 Gorgeous perch! They are bony, but they are good eatin'! Quote

I compromised with my wife as well, she wanted a wakeboard boat, I wanted a fishing boat, so we got a ski and fish. It's served me well for fishing and time out with the kids and wife. 2008 Glastron GT205SF. 1 Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted October 24, 2020 Super User Posted October 24, 2020 My last three fishing sessions at the river have produced at least one quality Smallmouth catch. I caught this 16” Smallmouth today. With its fat belly I am surprised it didn’t weigh more. http:// http:// http:// 13 Quote
FrankN209 Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Went striper fishing today, ended up catching one of these. First time seeing a flounder in person. 10 Quote
Nelson Wormefeller Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Caught a few today using my ultralight setup with 4 lb test. 11 Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted October 24, 2020 Super User Posted October 24, 2020 Headed out for what turned out to be a quick trip. Bait everywhere but tougher than expected to get them to commit to our baits. Should start busting loose soon. Hopefully. Pops with the fish of the day Another 15-16" spot Deer were all over the shoreline but it was all does and fawns. Bucks sure know it's time to hide this time of year. 18 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted October 24, 2020 Global Moderator Posted October 24, 2020 Fished my second ever bass tournament, a fund raiser where you could have 3 team members if one was a youngster. I caught our only fish with @Bluebasser86 homemade bladed jig hot off the press. Weighed in at 1.86 lbs, my first ever tournament keeper haha. 9.88 was the winning weight, big fish 4 lb smallmouth. I don’t think we came in last! !!!!! Pretty fall colors starting to show up, water temp 68 and tough fishing for most. Pretty heavy rain at daylight but turned out nice 17 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted October 24, 2020 Super User Posted October 24, 2020 Softball season ended last week and I was blessed with at least one good day to fish before the Arctic front moves in. Went straight to the back of the creek and started there. I was able to put quiet a few in the boat but only managed these two over 3lbs. A 3lb 4oz and a 3lb 2 oz. Bass Forecast said a POOR day with a 2.3 rating, good thing I don't go or not depending on what that thing says. 12 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 25, 2020 Global Moderator Posted October 25, 2020 A buddy had the day off Friday and decided to spend a (not so) beautiful day on the water with me. Rained pretty good in the morning with air temps in the high 30's and 15-20mph north winds, my body is not adjusted for that yet. He was sure the cold front would make it tough, I was sure the cold front would have them chewing, thankfully I was right. I did a lot of quick releasing big fish unfortunately, and Van wasn't catching the numbers I was, but he was throwing haymakers from the back seat. Our biggest 5 went just over 21 pounds. 21 Quote

Way north bass guy Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Got out this afternoon for a couple chilly hours. Water is still 50 deg but the high air temp was only about 38 or so and cloudy. Bite was tough, and I had lots of hits but they were just mouthing the bait. Finally managed to get a few on a Berkley Maxscent Creature Hawg on a football head, dragged slowly around weed clumps and rock. Depending on what the weather does in the next week or so, this might’ve been the last trip of the year. If so, I’ll take it. At least I didn’t pull the boat smelling of skunk ?. 12 Quote
