Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 28, 2024 Global Moderator Posted February 28, 2024 @gimruis Yes it’s the one in the pic. his boat sank and he said it hasn’t turned on ever since. I got under the console and cut a thousand wire ties and found the red wire disconnected 😂. Touched them to a hot battery and it fired up. It’s a fiberglass center console so I probably can’t fish the wires into the belly properly but he had an auxiliary battery under there that seemed like a good option. He’s going to look at it tomorrow and make a decision. Then he wants me to wire up a brand new tiny little garmin onto his sailboat. Luckily it’s all open in the belly 4 Quote

Super User BrianMDTX Posted February 28, 2024 Super User Posted February 28, 2024 Last day of a mini-vacation. Went back home to Maryland for my daughter’s birthday and got back late last night. Decided to fish this morning as a cold front was due in today. Woke up and it was 72° and calm. Decided to fish the shore due to wind. Good choice. By 9:30 it was 60° and gusty. Got a lot of light strikes and caught three. Two were 1 lb’ers but the second one was nice. Almost 3-1/2 lbs. Nice fight on M/XF spinning rig. All on a watermelon red Zoom Trick TR. Most bites were in deeper water. 24 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 28, 2024 Global Moderator Posted February 28, 2024 Went out this last Sunday to enjoy some of the unseasonably warm weather before it went back in the tank today (19* out this morning 🙄). My lake of choice was certainly a target rich environment. Fishing was a little tougher than I'd hoped, but I managed to nab about 15 of them before I had to call it a day. Saw water temps all the way to 51* already, makes the cold front hurt that much worse. Supposed to be back up to nearly 80* by Sunday though, just have to make it through a rough couple days. 25 Quote
Super User Swamp Girl Posted February 28, 2024 Super User Posted February 28, 2024 @Bluebasser86: Your last bass is quite close to popping! What a fatty. Quote
Pat Brown Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 Oh boy this morning was fun. Bout to hit it again. All of them caught on the wind blown bank after 3 days of warm SW wind. 25 Quote

I quit wading several of them years ago for the above reason. They constantly have junkies living under them. They should ban narcan and let that problem sort itself out. 5 minutes ago, Blue Raider Bob said: Temps dropped from 70's to 40's. Muy frio! Yeah buddy!!! It was 59 at 2am when I got up for work, tomorrow morning it''l be about 20. Only for a day though, back into the 60's by the weekend. Lot's of warm rain overnight and today. Hopefully that influx will heat up the bite. Been TOUGH lately. I ain't complaining though, the water was soft all through Feb. Never seen that before. 1 1 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 29, 2024 Global Moderator Posted February 29, 2024 I went back to the spot I caught lots of fish yesterday and only got two today. It was right after a storm and the creek was muddy. Shad were everywhere and my line kept hitting them making them jump. Maybe they had too much real food and didn’t want a hook. It was extreme post front. On a positive note we whipped auburn! @AlabamaSpothunter………. Posting a couple pics of the garbage flow, at least they have a trash catcher at all the creeks 16 3 Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted February 29, 2024 Super User Posted February 29, 2024 Made it out for a quick trip before a big storm rolls in. Nothing on big swimbaits but salvaged the day with finesse. 22 Quote

I need to stay away from basketball and keep fishing. Less strain on the inards! 1 1 Quote

Love it Dalton went 0-5 in one stretch then started hitting bombs from the parking lot, along with a MAJOR PHI SLAMMA JAMMA on a perfect feed! You just can't coach that! They still need lots of work on free throws 😬 1 Quote
