First fish on one of my new finesse jigs, and first fish on my new Favorite rods White Bird. An exceptional fish for this lake. I caught over 30 more, only 1 of them would have even approached 1 pound.

I don't know Mike. I'm pretty sure I've seen a picture last fall with A-Jay holding this same fish, er football, and she decided it was time for her spring portrait :D, lol. I gotta say those are beautiful pics!

Went to Dow Lake with my brother today and scored my first fish of 2017.

Thanks. What I love doing. When I take her I try to remember to make it about her,so she'll have so much fun she'll keep going with me. Her older brother is good at it too,but at present he's been bit by the video game bug.

Monday was a nice calm day on Lk St Clair. Had it been June it would have been a great topwater bite all day. Here's a chrome/blue Red Eye shad smallie.

The spirit of Buck Perry is alive and well in central Indiana B) Snuck out after work for 2 hours. First structure spot, first pass (on the troll), this 4lb. plus largemouth engulfed the bait. Happy camper - picked up the crappie rod for the rest of the evening :P

Saw this one crash the shallows on some shad. He took the squarebill in two casts. It was so windy, I had to cast into it inland to get it to fall in his zone a few feet off the bank. 3.2lbs.

This is the second bass of this size I've caught in the past few days with a bloody tail. Information seems to point in either direction in terms of its sex. Is there a current definite answer?

I've been catching a ton of bass lately because its mostly post-spawn. Unfortunately, I think my best in the last 2 weeks has been maybe 3lbs. Stopped by a retention pond on my way back from the gym. Caught this one on second cast w/ zoom black horny toad near a drain after noticing a top water hit there. Weighed in at 7lb9oz. Didn't measure, but probably 24".

Releasing her did make me sad. I'm pretty sure I lost a larger bass (26"-28" but also skinny) last Friday on Alligator Lake. The bass was ripping drag and pulled my yak over to some brush... got pretty close to landing her, maybe 4 ft away. Wish I had my anchor ready.

Hey folks.  New to the forum and saw this thread.   I live in SW Florida for many years but I'm a novice bass angler of about 3 years.   Most of my fishing is from my kayak in smaller hard to reach spots.  Just pulled this linked in on Sunday morning. Lakes and ponds are low due to no rain in months but the bass are biting.  Not sure how much this linked weighs since my scale died, but it measured 25"L x 18.5" girth.  Put up a great fight:)

slipped out for a little session right before dark last night....  not much action, missed one really good bite on my t rig.  was working my way back to the truck and tossing the MB giant dog x in white python.  tossed past a point, twitched it 2-3 times and this spot nearly ripped the rod out of my hands!  3.25lber and i caught it about 100 yards away from the 3.5lb spot i caught about 2 weeks ago!

and i had to get my obnoxious selfie with my heels hat for all my haters, you know who you are !!  @kickerfish1 @Catt @whitwolf
