BasshunterJGH Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 My little brother caught his PB the other day on a strike king squarebill. Didn't have a scale along that day, how big do you guys think it is? Quote
BasshunterJGH Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 It was so heavy he dropped it that's why it's covered in gravel lol. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 2, 2014 Global Moderator Posted October 2, 2014 Did you get a length and girth? That makes guessing a lot easier. From those pictures I'd guess 6-7 pounds, really good looking fish. 1 Quote

Unfortunately, I didn't get the length and girth either. I guess we got so excited we forgot about measuring! We wanted to get her back in as soon as possible. Caught at lake cachuma ca. Quote

BrownBear Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Very nice indeed! yes I see them, looks maybe like a scab or irritation on them of some sort. Quote
BasshunterJGH Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Utah road trip this summer. Desert bass lol. The first pic was interesting I was swimming in the lake (it was 110 degrees out) and I saw him in some brush so I got out, cast a Yamamoto d-shad to him and caught him. He looks a little skinny. Mainebass1984 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 VURRRRY nice fish maine. is it just me or do the top and bottom fish have some odd color spots on their sides? The fish in that pond are very stressed, the water there is extremely low. It is the lowest it has been in 50 years. The odd color patterns, the pinkish areas, are open sores. The fish in that pond have been extremely skinny and sickly. We need rain there in the worst of way. This year I have caught a lot of fish with open sores like that in that particular pond. Once the water level comes up and the water cools most of the sick fish will heal and put on some weight. Even though they are stressed and sick they can still be caught. They have to eat. 1 Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted October 7, 2014 Super User Posted October 7, 2014 The fish up north are supposed to be small! Haha just kidding man nice fish mainebass! Quote
