I have been out catfish every weekend sense opening day and have not caught one catfish I have 50 pound test with a 12 pound diameter I use a number 2 hook on a swivel and I've used chicken liver, dip baits, salmon, shrimp I could really use some help I love just being out fishing with my buddies but would be nice to caught that big one

Where are you fishing? It doesn't sound like you are fishing where the catfish are. If you are lake fishing, try fishing creek channels and shallow flats near the creek channels at night.

some more information would help. are you fishing a lake or river? what type of catfish are you fishing for? also, you should try good old fashioned nightcrawlers, anything will eat those, meaning any type of catfish too. channels and blues may hit the baits youre using, but it may not matter if youre fishing in flathead water. then try small live bluegill and cutbait...

STAY AWAY FROM STINK BAIT! The most natural bait possible is the way to go for big cats. Cut or live: shad (best) shiners (good) bluegill (not as good but definitely still works. Fresh is always better than preserved or frozen. But yeah let us know your situation so we can help!
