5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 If you went fishing for several hours in an outing, would you rather catch a bunch of small fish and no big ones? Or just a few in about 6 hours but they are all over 8#? Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted June 10, 2014 Super User Posted June 10, 2014 Just a few all over 8# considering my PB Is 5# lol Quote
David D. Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Heck, I would be happy catching a single 8 lb fish in a 6 hour outing right now. If I caught several then it would be the best day of fishing ever for me. Quote
long island basser Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I'd take the few over 8 and go home feeling good! Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 If I'm feeling impatient I would take some dinks for a good day. Otherwise one big lunker would do it. ;-) Quote
Mccallister25 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 As much as I love catching numbers, and love days of catcing a bunch of smaller fish, I would have to go with the "8#" option. My PB is just shy of 6# and caught it while by myself.. No one around to take a good photo, so the picture does it no justice. 6-7 pound fish are few and far between in the ponds I fish.. As far as I know. No telling when Ill be able to top my current PB. Id love the "8#" option, so I could update my PB, and hopefully get a good photo op. Quote
Super User Raul Posted June 10, 2014 Super User Posted June 10, 2014 An 8 lber ............why so low expectations ? 2 Quote

Chris9999 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 This actually happened to me on the last trip! We were in the upper spot where we knew the bigger fish were and got a few bites here and there over about 2 hours. Then we decided to go to the lower spot where I proceeded to pull out more then 5 dinks in less then half an hour Quote
papajoe222 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Give me a bunch of small ones. If I caught an eight pounder it would have the same effect as my having relations with a hot sixteen year old; my enjoyment would be limited by the heart attack. 3 Quote
RAMBLER Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Heck! I'm greedy! I don't like the choice, one or the other. I'll take just 3 over 8 (my pb is 7) and the bunch of dinks in between. Go for the gusto!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if I had to make a choice, I'd take the "few" over 8. There's times when I go out for 6 hours and catch only a "few" dinks. Quote
sparky241 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I'll be the odd man out.. I would take quantity over quality right now, next yr I'll take quality over quantity. Im just learning how to fish :0 1 Quote
B@ssCrzy Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Catching one 8lber in a day would be a great day.....catching two would be epic!!! I will take the 8lbers. Quote
Super User Scott F Posted June 10, 2014 Super User Posted June 10, 2014 How many fish are in a bunch? Quote
skeeter1980 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I'll take a 8#,I know what a 6# feels like.Two more # would be hot.lol Quote
CDMeyer Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Quality over quantity as long as it was five, so I could say I caught a good limit..... 5 8s.....40lb I will take that limit everyday Quote
tbone1993 Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Just caught 27 fish from 5pm-8pm biggest was a 4lb smallie all the rest were 2-3lb largemouth. It was on fire and the bite was stupid easy. I loved that but what I loved more was catching 23 smallies the next day biggest 5 went 25lb+. Id rather have a day of catching the smallies we did than a bunch of big largemouth, sure theyre big but they just dont have the same fight as a smallmouth. Quote
