masterbass Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Some of these guys seem like great teachers. I'd love to learn from kvd, rick clunn and a. martens. Timmy Horton and randy howell seem like fantastic guys. Geez there a lot of guys I'd like to learn from. 3 years ago I started this addiction of bass fishing. 3 years ago, I couldn't stand watching it on tv. Now I dvr everything and ordered the world fishing network lol. Quote

Super User RoLo Posted June 26, 2014 Super User Posted June 26, 2014 'Favorite Pro Angler' can mean a few different things. It can mean the heaviest hitter in the recent past (we all know who that is), it can mean the most amiable personality or the most likely pro to be top honcho in the future. With respect to pros currently on top of their game, I'm real impressed by Chris Lane (secondly Edwin Evers). When he lived in Florida, Chris Lane tore up the tourney trail with win-after-win and to a lesser extent his brother Bobby Lane. After Chris moved to Alabama, he won the 2013 Bassmaster Elite on Lake Guntersville, then came to Florida this year and won the 2014 Bassmaster Elite on the St John's River (Incredible!) Roger Quote
MemphisFF Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 My favorite guys are EE, Kreit, Timmy Horton. Recently I've been paying big attention to Keith Combs, Randy Hanes and just now really discovering Greg Hackney.(who's been around awhile now) Heroes growing up were of course Dance, Houston and Martin. NJSalt Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 My favorites include Greg Hackney, Hank Cherry, and Justin Lucas. Quote
Brian Brazier Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Iaconelli is one of my favorites, I love how he Ike's out and how excited he get, plus I like seeing the reactions of the people around him. The other fisherman at the top of my list is Shaw Grigsby, his attitude and humor make him very entertaining to follow. I alway root for Gary Klein too, for some reason he reminds me of a golfer my Dad follows Jim Furyk. I enjoy watching all of them on MLF and B.a.s.s., I always pickup some tip or hint that helps me out. Quote
MT2 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I dont think I can pick just one....What I can say is my youngest son is named Reese Edwin, my big dogs name is Ike, my wifes dogs name is Lulu(G-Mans wife), and our boy's dog is named Hack...Others I really like is Jacob Wheeler, Tommy Biffle and Ish Monroe....But I think honestly think alot of guys are like me and its hard to say this guy is "Da Man"...so I think a better question could be who is your least favorite pro angler. Super User AK-Jax86 Posted July 4, 2014 Super User Posted July 4, 2014 Brandon Palanuik he's the future! Also he is a cool down to earth guy! I met him at one of the Bass Masters Elite Series event down in Palatka, FL and he was playing with my son who just turned 2 last week. BP was a very cool guy was nice enough to play with my son, talk a little fishing, and take a pic with me. Quote
hookset on 3 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Didn't we just do this on the Tournament thread a couple of months ago? Maybe, but Grease has only been on the BR Forum for 2 months. That means he's averaging 400 posts a month! Yowsa! Quote
