Any line suggestions? I've gone through many brands of line and I can't seem to find the right one. Spider wire is my braid choice but for mono in floro I can't decide. All I know is Sufix has worked the best and sunline,Triline,high-catch and power pro suck. What's the strongest floro and mono out there?

Rotten line, or if it snapped near the knot you may have burnt the line. If the knot is not wet well before clinching it, it can greatly weaken the line; especially fluorocarbon.

I've never had any problems with sunline breaking. I've used the Super FC and the Sniper. Both have been pretty strong. The BPS XPS floro has also held up really well for me.

What type of knot do you suggest? I use improved clinch for braid and my mono but I don't know what's good for floro and I rely need to find a new one for braid

Maybe you should try Yozuri hybrid? It's crazy strong... But trilene big game is too... Or Pline CXX... Of course it won't have the feel of Tatsu or invisx... But way strong, and good enough on feel, at least for me.. Palomar spit soaked knot.. No troubles...

Palomar knot for any braided lines - easy to tie on the fly and is incredibly strong.

San diego jam. Wet the knot and main line while cinching slowly.
