When you call someone like lebron garbage you have no idea what you are talking about. Sure you may think he is not as good as MJ but to disregard his talent and say garbage is ridiculous. I would also bet you wouldn't be too upset if he was on your team

How well a person can play a game is of little use determining their worth as a human being or how much class they have. Garbage is a little a little off I think trash is where I would rate him! He is lazy, self centered and tries to do no more than needed to land a big contract, yes he is very talented, but it will always remain a mystery to how good he could have been at the end of his career, and that is because he will never play with the dedication day in and out as MJ, Larry  Byrd, Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Tony Parker, David Robinson, your great AI, on and on. You may know a great deal about talent but it is obvious you know absolutely nothing about dedication,,,,,,,and even less about "CLASS" get rid of the bum and and the prison release, and the rest of the trash on that team, and you have a start,,,maybee!

He would never play for me if I had a team that is a fact, and as much as you know you should realize there are many who know more, and Popovich is one, I can assure you he would never have LaBro on his team, the reason is if you have noticed, first of all they don't need him to display what a dynasty they have been since his arrival, and second,,,,,he ONLY deals in players with CLASS!!! Take a good look at his players, how they win and how they loose,,,,,,,and he himself,,,,,you may start to understand what class is, and how important class is, more talent can be a waste when it don't show up every time they step on the court, he will never do that, he lacks two thing's,,,,Class,,,,and most of all HEART!!! LaBro "I" "me" "mine" he may speak different but since he stepped in the NBA has proven that!!

I have never been a Kobe fan either, he is another who would never play for Pop!! He has heart and plays hard but for years he was a I Me Mine also!!

I am not sure how you can call someone lazy who has improved every season and landing the big contract thing is a thing of the past with max deals.  Pretty much any all star gets those nowadays.  He is also far from the end of his career, he is 29 and probably has another 8 years left.  I would also argue that he made the players around him better more than MJ did, i mean look at the coaches he had around him and how he carried Cleveland to the finals pretty much by himself.  I see dedication as improvement each year and he has done that, i mean look at his FG%, he shot an almost unheard of 57% as a SF this year which is higher than any season Jordan ever had and actually jordan's highest season FG% was 54% which lebron has already surpassed twice.

This is also a different age. Players have no personal lives anymore with media like it is and even with that being the case you never hear a peep about him off the court doing anything but good things. Also, in case you aren't aware, there is a larry bird exception so that you can pay your own players more money than other teams so they don't leave via FA.  Sounds pretty selfish to me.

Most people are judging him based on his "decision" which i am with you, was in bad taste but the way the league is structured now he did what he thought was best to get a chip.

I disagree about Popovich wanting lebron.  Lebron does what he thinks it takes to win, sometimes it means taking the last shot, sometimes it means kicking it out to the open man.  If that means he has no heart then so be it, I would take a guy who is threat to have a triple double every night on my team any day of the week.

I know there will always be the comparisons but in all reality they are two different players each will have others compared to them in the future but if I am building a team after taking Wilt, I am taking Lebron without hesitation.

me too!!!  well i am sort of psyched for the NBA draft too to see what the sixers are going to do with all their picks and new management in place.

Wow all the ripping on Lebron is crazy...he is the most talented player to ever step on an NBA court with maybe Wilt beating him out.  Jordan was a way worse complainer and a horrible teammate, benefitted from coming into the league at a perfect time and the league was very weak, and don't even get started on his off the court stuff....and Kobe, ehh good player who is more of a head case than anyone on the heat oh and his off the court record is pretty stellar....

The spurs are a better coached team and have players that fit their system perfectly.  Miami is looking tired and beat up but if there is any team that can come back from a 3-1 deficit i would say it has to be the heat.

The truth is both of these teams are full of pretty classy guys.

The league was weak when Jordan came into it? Probably a mistake saying that..The league appeared weaker later in his career, but I'm not sold on that either. Jordan had another top 50 all time player, but nothing but role players after that, he absolutely made his teams rise above and perform better. When he came into the league he had Boston and the lakers to contend with, then the rockets and the knicks, portland, utah, all top notch teams with hall of famers, but he and his team wanted it more, every night. They never took a night off, never, they wanted to win every game, and thats unheard of.

Jordan said it in that Video..^^^^^ the league was at its best from 81 to 2000, it was very physical, all over the floor... Great players never lay down.. And James can't ever say he hasn't, I have seen it too many times... He is a potential great Athlete.. But ???

Sorry but you can't use the biggest egomaniac of al lime in Jordan to defend that the league was stronger during the time he played.  The league was great in the late 70's to the mid 80's.  When Jordan, Barkley, Olajuwon all came into the league there were powerhouse teams in the sixers, celtics and lakers that were all on the downswing.  Whoever won the East had to play through philly and/or Boston and then face the lakers.  The bulls teams were great no doubt but they never really and a rival or another team that was at the same caliber.  That is no fault of his and his desire to win is unmatched, like I already mentioned.  The league was more physical in the 80's but thanks to Jordan and the "Jordan Rules" that changed in the 90's.  And you could say the same thing that the 70's and 60's were way more physical than the 80's, it is the natural progression of the game.

You also have to consider expansion.  In 1983 there were 23 teams in the league and every team was deep and the worst team in the league won 26 games.  In contrast by the mid 90's say 1993 there were 27 teams and there were 5 teams that finished with less than 27 wins and if you look at pretty much al lthe teams in the 90's you will see the same thing, many more bad teams to beat up on.

They changed rules for Jordan and do you really think he left to retire because he wanted to try baseball?  not a chance in hell that is the case.  This is an obvious no win debate on either side so I will agree to disagree and leave it at that.

They changed rules for Shaquille too because his overwhelming strength was a normal basketball move.... Rule changes happen a lot... Sometime for the better and not so better
