Hey guys so I want to try fishing a frog and I have a 7ftMH Carbonlite. My lakes do not have pads or weeds so I will be fishing it in places you would throw a spook and what not. Is that rod ok for that considering when they eat it I wont have to worry about getting the hooks through a lot of weeds into the fish.

That isn't exactly what I would want but it will definitely work. Buy hey not everyone uses the same rods for the same purposes

Although the daiwa l&t is my go to rod. I have a falcon 7' mh which I use when I'm in close combat frog fishing - it's very accurate and with braid it sticks the hooks good. In my experience too stiff rod tips lose lots of frog fish.

While I've not fished with that rod myself, I have used various 7MH rods for frogs with zero problems.  Most of my frog fishing involves target casting to smaller patches of slop and heavy cover.  So accurate cast are important.  If I fished more expansive mats, I'd maybe switch to a heavier 7'3-7'6 rod.  Tom

If you aren't in the thick stuff you will be fine. Dean Rojas uses a MH because he uses his frog In weed free or open water more than anything.

Sounds good thanks guys!
