BassBossMN Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 A lot of people have said that the Ghost frays and breaks braid. Can anyone confirm this is true or false? Quote
Fish Murderer 71 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I broke a Ghost the other day. Wont be buying anymore of those! Quote

Fish Murderer 71 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Thursday was the 5th and I bought it 5/20- so, 15 days... fished with it about 10 times. Quote
Smallmouth Hunter Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 A better question is how many fish did you boat flip 1 Quote
SenkoGuru Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I think it is the Soft metal inserts in the Ghost line guides. I have heard that those have pitted in the past and frayed braided line on other rods that had the same eye's. I do not think the Ghost line has been out long enough for us to see if this will be the case with them though. I can't give you a straight answer because I am thinking no one knows 100% yet. Quote
jlwest506 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I ran braid on mine for a week or so.. Didn't notice any fraying but the noise of the braid running through the guides had me mad. So I switched to 12# mono, and like it just fine. Quote
Megastink Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 No complaints with my ghost. I have the 6'10" medium casting model that is my topwater rod. I spool it with 30lb power pro. Great set-up! Quote
