I am looking for a new jig rod. I like 7 foot to about 7 foot 3. I will mostly be throwing 3/8 ounce jigs. Also I'm a kayak angler so it has to be versatile, able to throw chatter baits, spinner baits, things like that. As for price I'm thinking 100 to 150. So far my favorite is the st croix mojo bass spinnerbaits rod. But I'm still open minded.

Thank you

H2O Express 7' Medium-Light I use it for all weighted head baits (spinner baits, jigs, chatterbait, buzz baits, and even my striper fishing buck tails.)

I would prefer the MF action for anything under 1/2 oz, I prefer MXF jigging,  but the MF would be better all round for  your purpose. The fact that you like the St. Croix already I would look at the Avid which is available if you shop around for 150, lifetime warranty also, a huge benny if you have a mishap, or later want to upgrade!!.

Fenwick HMX, or Elitetech Smallmouth series. Or even better a Pinnacle Perfecta 7'3" MH-F

Abu Garcia Veritas is one of my favortie jig rods, especially at its new price point. Super sensitive and light weight with good back bone and tip. 7'mh serves as my froggin rod as well.

Powell endurance 714 or 723. I bought the 714 to use on my yak and I really like it. Handled a 1/8 oz weight and 4" senko really well today.
