SamTheHam Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Hello guys, I am shopping for a tackle bag or backpack for my gear. I'm looking for something that can potentially be a good co angler setup in the future. Any recommendations? I personally really like backpacks but I can't seem to find one that has enough side storage as a medium tackle bag. Thank you Quote
David D. Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Plano guide series elite 3600 or 3700 tackle bag. I've got a 3600 model and love it. Quote

Mattfrom_NJ Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I got an Ogio bag from a thrift store for 8 dollars and just add plano 3700 3600 boxes. Bags tailored for fishing gear seem expensive when you can get away with using a standard back pack Quote
Alpha Male Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Cabelas Advanced Angler Tackle Bag. 4 sizes to choose from, I chose the magnum. lots of room, check them out. Quote
J33wolf Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Plano SoftSider X Advanced Series Tackle Bags - $36.99 (3600) to $48.99 (3700). Perfect for what I need. Plenty of storage and comes with all the Boxes. 1 Quote
Mr Swim Jig Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I have the Tackle Warehouse brand backpack and it has a good amount of storage. The price isn't to bad either. I have also been looking at the Wild River backpacks, but they are on the pricey side. 1 Quote
CYP Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Plano guide series elite 3600 or 3700 tackle bag. I've got a 3600 model and love it. Same, I have the 3700, its huge Quote
Jdm219 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Browning has a backpack at basspro that holds all th boxes you can throw in there. $29.99 Quote
robster80 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 plano softsider x 3600 is what i just picked up love it Quote
DTack Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 The Plano Softsider x3700 is a good value in my opinion. It has a nice bottom structure to it that holds it upright a little better. One thing I like doing.. I buy the slim 3700 boxes I think they're 3701? I typically put 3 slim boxes and 2 of the regualr width in mine. Love the bag overall and has 2 side pockets and a front pocket for you as well. Also, it was one of the fairest prices I've found. 1 Quote
Dramer77 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I use the tackle warehouse backpack as well, but I also use a bigger bag for taking stuff on a boat Quote
timsford Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 my fishing partner uses the okuma backpack. He got it from the walmart site a lot cheaper than the tackle warehouse backpack and it has a lot of storage space. I used to use the bass pro backpack system but ended up selling it and getting a backpack from a thrift store with side pockets that hold 10 to 20 bags of skft plastics eacn and have 4 3700 boxes in the main co.partment and a binder for spinnerbaits and jigs. Also most "kids" backpacks have so small front pocket with pencil holders that can be used to hold pliers and scissors. This works great for me being a shore bound angler Quote
