LApanic Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 This might have been asked before on the forum, but let's here what you got. For me, time and time again....I catch more fish and have more confidence in a Zoom Magnum Ultravibe Speed Worm. Is it just me or is this worm overlooked as one of the best fish catchers there is? I love a green pumpkin, California 420 & Junebug Red with the tail dipped in Spike-it 90 % of the time. Let's here your go to plastic...I mean the one you find yourself picking up a bag or two every time your at the tackle store. And give a shout out if your a big U-Vibe fan like myself! Quote

tholmes Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 ~ 7" ribbon-tail and if I had to pick a color, it would be Tequila Sunrise. Brand name isn't really important to me, I usually use Barlow's house brand. Tom Quote
nascar2428 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 5" Green pumpkinish stick. Senko, Dinger or Megastick. Take your pick. Quote
LApanic Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 Zoom trick worm in bruised banana! Interesting, never seen this color. My favorite trick worms would have to be 1. Black and 2. Green Pumpkin/Purple flake Quote
LApanic Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 What happened to good ole "motor oil" color by zoom? Can someone recommend a straight tail worm brand that has a motor oil color? Quote

LApanic Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 Its a yellow worm with brown stripes wrapping around it, its my go to color for muddy/low visibility water! Where do you buy em? Just check BPS and they don't carry them Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted June 3, 2014 Super User Posted June 3, 2014 My local academy sports always has some packs of them, I don't have a BPS so Idk if they carry them. Tackle warehouse is a place you can order them from. Quote
Arv Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Mine is quickly becoming the Rage Tail Cut R worm. I can fish it like a senko, or swim it thanks to the tail. And if the tail comes off, I can still fish it like a senko. I haven't tried rage-rigging, texas rigging, or carolina rigging it yet, but I'm sure it will be great for those applications too. Quote
Super User aavery2 Posted June 3, 2014 Super User Posted June 3, 2014 Zoom Ol' Monster, as of late I have the best luck using Watermelon or Green Pumpkin Magic Red. My old standby was Plum. Quote

A little trick I learned from an old timers to avoid split tails a lot.....take a .22 caliber shell and punch a little round cut right at the "V" of the tail. Saves money and time plus has the same action IMO. Gambler figured this out not to long ago and made their "burner worm" Quote
LApanic Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 I too dip a little of the tail in chartreuse dye. The only time I don't dip the tail is when them bream are nibbling, lol Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted June 3, 2014 Super User Posted June 3, 2014 8" Mann's Jelly worm in grape. 1 Quote

Super User Master Bait'r Posted June 3, 2014 Super User Posted June 3, 2014 What happened to good ole "motor oil" color by zoom? Can someone recommend a straight tail worm brand that has a motor oil color? I feel like Roboworm makes that. Check TW. My favorite worms are Roboworms (hot tips and FX styles especially) and Slug-Go SS worms- the latter combines the front of a 4" slug-go for that erratic jerky motion, and follows it up with a whiptail that seriously gives it a sashay unlike anything I've ever seen. It's the best of both worlds- the wiggle of a worm and the action of a soft jerkbait. Each has their strengths, but I love them both in their own way. Quote
David D. Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Rage Tail Cut-R is my go-to work right now. It doesn't matter what color I am using, the fish like it. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted June 3, 2014 Super User Posted June 3, 2014 Strike King fat baby Finesse worms. Great on a Mojo, Drop Shot or wacky. Just love them. Quote
