fisherrw Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Looking for a baitcaster I can use for small cranks, square bills, and small spinnerbaits. Quote
Super User MCS Posted May 31, 2014 Super User Posted May 31, 2014 Daiwa exceler, look around for the older version can be had for $50. I have one good reel for $ I hear the BPS pro qualifier is another solid reel in that range Quote
Super User bigbill Posted May 31, 2014 Super User Posted May 31, 2014 Try fish and save he has some affordable bc reels. Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted May 31, 2014 Super User Posted May 31, 2014 Ron with valley sports has some good reels for a great price. I just ordered a diawa tatula from him, PM him and see what he has for you! Quote
Getfit74 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 BPS Pro Qualifier and it's on sale now. Great reel in that price range, heck even better than some that cost a lot more. Quote
TorqueConverter Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 BPS Extreme. The Pro Qualifier is good too but not nearly as nice as the Extreme. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted June 1, 2014 Super User Posted June 1, 2014 BPS PQ, Lew's Speed Spool, Lew's Lazer Speed Spool Quote
The Fisher Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Academy Mettle is a fine reel. They sometime go on sale for $25-35. Father's Day might be a good bet. Otherwise BPS Pro Qualifier on sale is another good one. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted June 1, 2014 Super User Posted June 1, 2014 The Pro Qualifier has proven to be a very good value (esp at $80 on sale) for me and several others on this site. I have 4, three of which have many miles on them, all without a hiccup. The Tatula is a very nice reel, and if it can be had for $100 or near it would also be an excellent choice. Quote
BigBassLoveSenkos Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 BPS Pro Qualifier and it's on sale now. Great reel in that price range, heck even better than some that cost a lot more. ^ This Quote
hamiltonangler94 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 I really like the shimano citica. I got it rigged on a Fenwick HMG 6'6" mh medium fast and I use it for pike and bass mostly using jerkbaits crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Works really well Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted June 1, 2014 Super User Posted June 1, 2014 Bps pq gets the nod for under $100 and the tatula for $100 even. Quote
SudburyBasser Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 BPS Extreme. The Pro Qualifier is good too but not nearly as nice as the Extreme. I was beginning to think I was the only one who liked the BPS Extreme. Better than the PQ? I don't know but the Extreme I have is one of my favourite reels. Quote
mjseverson24 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 skeet reese victory reel can be had for pretty reasonable price, and it is a pretty good reel... otherwise the tatula is a great choice or the T3-B... Mitch Quote
