philsoreel Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Last year until the Dec. sale TW had these Tru Tungsten 5/8ths oz. Carolina rig weights. The skinny cylindrical shaped ones. I waited till they went on sale to buy and of course they were out of stock when I tried to order them. I have searched high and low for months trying to find some to no avail. Yes, I know both Vike and River2Sea make them also but they have inserts and only go up to 3/8ths. 1/2oz is the absolute minimum size I need. Anyone know where I can find the Tru T Carolinas? Quote
midnighthrasher Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Tru Tungsten went bankrupt so the only place to find them is on liquidation. Too bad because everything they made was top grade. Quote
HardHookset Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I'm new to the forum but just saw this. TruTungsten is gone but their products will be making a comeback in the next few months under a new company - same great products + a few new ones. Quote

philsoreel Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 That sucks. I really like their weights except for the price. I always know when I put one of them on that my line is safe because of the inside being polished. Don't know of any other company that does that. Quote
ks cranker Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I've got some 5/8 oz Tru Tungsten Peter T CRig weights, they are black. I'd sell them for $7 a pack plus shipping... [ftp]http://www.fishermanschoiceproshop.com/product/Tru-Tungsten_Tru-Tungsten-Carolina-Weights/ST-20788[/ftp] Quote
HardHookset Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Love to share, but not my place to. I don't want to step on the toes of the folks that are behind the effort to bring the products back to the masses. I'm just excited to have my flippin weights available soon! Quote

There's been much speculation from Strike King, to BPS, from Cabelas to Bullet Weights. I've heard Picasso, even though it's under the Fish Harder umbrella and bankrupt just as TT. While I'd be excited about it, I'm certainly not getting my hopes up, for there would have been more news by this time. Quote
