With people all excited about the new Ragetail bug being released I'm wondering what colors are people ordering and how do you plan on fishing it.

So, what colors are you using, what type of water do you fish (stained/clear), and how do you plan on fishing it?

Gonna get my some PB&J and Bama Craw.. Jig trailer and some pegged Texas rigged and prob Carolina.. Soon!

Looks like an awesome bait for flipping, I will definitely try it out.

The same way I fish the Pit Boss.  Both baits generate a mechanical motion through their displacement of water meaning that they have wiggly bits on them that move on the fall.  I like to pitch baits like that to docks when I'm getting bit on the fall.

I bought some green pumpkin, bama craw, and some black/blue flake. I will mostly texas rig these babies. And I will probably use them for jig trailers also.

I'll use it for t-rigging, jig trailer, jika rig, and punching.  The beaver style baits are my favorite plastic to throw.  I'm glad Rage finally added one to the lineup.  I gave Rage a whole season and the brand proved to me that it flat out catches fish!  So I have replaced a lot of my other plastics with Rage.

Man oh man does that blue craw look like it would kill it in the "ditch."  Properly rigged w/a 3/0 Gami g-lock and 3/8 oz. bullet weight pegged.

I just put in an order for 5/0 1/4 oz. moaner stroker hooks, gonna try the rage rig for the first time with my order of bugs. I'm hoping this combo will work well,

They do "look" look like them.  They also look like the sweet beaver.  The appendages are different and they will have more more action.  Looking like and performing alike are two different things.

I cast em, flip em, pitch em, & punch em ;)

Color is one I've seen no where else, it is a two tone watermelon green. I also have some that are are a watermelon or green pumpkin on top & an orange on the bottom.

The action on most Rage Tail baits is enhanced by the patented edge. I have had the opportunity

to fish The Bug for the past several weeks and it is KILLER!  The bait can be rigged a number of

ways. I especially like it Rage Rigged in shallow water, T-rigged deeper.

Good to know that you like Rage rigged for shallow water. I might try that.

What hook do you use?

What colors you like?

Blue Craw is my favorite color, and weighted Tx rig is my favorite way to fish 'em, but they are killer on a Rage Rig, and on a shakey head. I use a 5/0 hook on 'em, as shown to me by the man. I was using a 4/0, but a 5 is better. Moaner Stick'R's to be exact. Probably the most dependable bait in my bag.

I got some off ebay some how and I did some pool testing.  Compared them with the sweet beaver and D bomb.  I must say they are pretty awesome.  I still don't know how I managed to get some off ebay.  They were in a plastic ziplok bag.  20 watermelon red flake, 10 green pumpkin and 8 that look like california 420.  I got them all for $10.  They are the real deal too.  Weird but happy to get them.  I just placed an order on TW for several bags.  Says 6/4 on the back order.  I plan to peg a 3/16 or 1/4 tunggsten weight on them.  Maybe a 5/16 around grass.  My plan anyway.  let you guys know after this weekend, I plan on throwing them alot.

Post a pic of what pegging them looks like. I've don't recall seeing that.

I use a screw in tungsten weight.  Alot of guys use a bobber stop.  I have even used tooth picks through a lead weight.  When I say pegged I just mean peg the texas rig weight down on the bait so it doesnt slide up.
