Super User Bankbeater Posted June 5, 2014 Super User Posted June 5, 2014 I have seen people fishing off of the boat ramp multiple times. On more than one occasion I have had to say "excuse me I need to pull the boat in here". You can be getting ready to launch or leave, and it doesn't matter these people will not get out of the lawn chair. Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted June 5, 2014 Super User Posted June 5, 2014 One thing I believe is if you accidentally snag someone on your cast with a hook. It is ALWAYS the casters fault under any circumstances. It doesn't matter if they snuck up behind you, got to close, etc.. You should always be aware of your surrounding when casting. Quote
J BASS Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Apparently a long forgotten rule is lights off at the ramp at night. This has completely gone by the wayside and it drives me nuts. Along with getting the boat ready in the lane. I agree 100 percent...only problem today is that the e-brake or the 5 time dimmer light switch deals does not turn lights off anymore on a lot of GM products Quote
Fish Murderer 71 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Don't jump my hole, stay out of my boat if you aint fishing with me. Turn your friggin lights OFF on the ramp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and rookie co-anglers need not speak about what we did or where we did it at!!! Quote

Everyone has the right to fish. If there are no boats around, fish the ramp. But when a boat is approaching, you have to reel up and wait for the boat to leave. either they don't know any better or they don't give a Quote
ColdSVT Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Be on time, nothing worse than setting a time and someone being 10-15 minutes late. 6:00am means 6:00am. No it does not! 6AM means 5:45! Quote
Super User RoLo Posted June 5, 2014 Super User Posted June 5, 2014 I prefer a relaxed atmosphere on my vessel and impose only a few unwritten laws: > Alcohol is not permitted, unless the captain approves of the choice > In the unfortunate event of crossed lines, the guest's line must be severed > Bananas are welcome............meatballs are not > Never encroach on another angler's space...........unless it's producing fish > Anyone is welcome to use the bow platform..........when the boat is moving backwards Roger 1 Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted June 6, 2014 Super User Posted June 6, 2014 No it does not! 6AM means 5:45! My sentiments exactly Quote
gar-tracker Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 My sentiments exactly Back when I would bring a lot of different friends fishing they had one chance at that. I couldnt even get them on time when i would pick them up, If I had a dime how many times i would pull up to a dark house to pick someone up. drove me nuts. Thats why you find as you get older "one monkey doesn't stop a show." Quote
