Hello everyone, I've been looking to get into frog fishing and im going to buy a spro topwater frog. I am stuck on which one to buy and which colors.

So what is each spro frog's advantage and which is your favorite?

Which are the best colors for day w/ clear skies, day w/ clouds and nighttime

Thanks

I stay in the natural colors, green, yellow and sometimes black.

And I'll tell ya I've caught fish on every color regardless of conditions, but I have noticed that a lighter colored bottom (which is really all the bass will see) in the morning fog and cloudy overcast days will get more hits.

For a non poping frog I throw the Scum now more than a Spro. I like that it's much softer and I tend to be able to walk that thing in place better than the Spro.

The Spro popping frog, with one side of the "legs" cut about 1/2 inch up is as good as any others. Imho

I used Spro for years and have changed over to Booyhah Pad Crashers. They work just as well, but are less money and are a lot more durable.

I could live very happily with Bronzeye 65's in Killer Gill, Nasty Shad, and The Killer.  Tom

I typically use the colors that look closest to the frogs I'll see in my bodies of water.

That said, I also have one in Killer Gill that seems to pull fish in pretty consistently

I have an entire box filled with Spro, personally it's all I use. They are super durable and I have caught a ton of fish on them. Best colors are easily killer gill, midnight walker, and putty black. If you are just getting started frog fishing make sure you are using a heavier mono or for best results braided line on a medium heavy or heavy 7 foot rod with a fast gear ratio reel. Best of luck!

All black & all white. Spro popping frog is a very versatile bait.

Spro frogs are all I use and I fish a frog quite a bit. Colors listed have all worked for me.

Rainforest Black (early/late in the day or cloudy conditions)

Leopard

Tropical White (clear skies)

Tropical Yellow (mostly during post-spawn)

Redear

Green Tree

I wanted to like the Pad Crashers, but the last few I have bought have been impossible to walk.  I know I have the technique down b/c I can walk any other frog or top-water bait when conditions call for that.  I just bought a Spro baby size popper in tree frog (I believe that's the color), hopefully it will serve me better than the Pad Crashers.

My two favorite colors are natural green and black. I have a couple of each in the normal size, the junior, and the popper.
