kvd 1.5 is the best bang for your buck but they do break. With a sale the spro little johns are the best.

I like Excalibur 100 & 200 also Dt 1... Bigguns.. Can't remember exact # also have picked up a couple of Bagleys... I used these bagley baits in the 80's and 90's then stopped.. It seems the Quailty may be back!

Norman Fat Boy, Bandit, SK 1.5 & 2.5, Rapala DT Fat are all good. I recently got a couple of Lake Fork Tackle squarebills and they're really nice looking lures, especially the Red Ear Bream. I can hardly wait to give 'em a workout.

Id pick up some KVD 1.5's and some H2O express CRS's both are similar and very good lures, I like the bomber square A's also.

The Strike King KVD1.5 is the best under $10. Heck, it's better than a bunch over $10 too...

The XCalibur XCS line of Sq bills is my favorite of the lower priced baits. I prefer them over the KVD's.

KVDs, Rick Clunn RC2 series, Crush 50X, Xcite XB1 are a couple of my favorites and offer a good selection of silent vs rattle vs one knocker between them to satisfy any squarebill situation you might find yourself in.

X2... Plus those Bombers are cheap. $3 a pop, less if you find them on sale.

XPS squarebills, RC squarebill, Arashi squarebill and KVDs are all produces for me.  The XPS is my favorite because of the extreme buoyancy and good action.

I have a Cabelas Flatside Pork Chop crank that the fish have been crushing lately.  It hunts side to side rhythmically like a Scatter Rap when the retrieve speed is picked up.  I doubt they all do this but it's worth picking one up when they can be had for less that $4.

If you're somewhere with an Academy, check out the H20 baits too.  They cannot be beaten for the price.  The CRS and CRM are really good sq bills for right around $4.

The H20 lineup is about all I use now that there's one 10 minutes from the house. They make rattling and silent models in every color and depth I need, all for $4 a bait. Can't find a reason to use any others anymore.

Used Lucky Craft Rick Clunn squarebill is my favorite. Other than that I usually buy Strike King
