dpeels37354 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Ok so i purchased another Avid from TW and I was just wondering what all I can do to help protect the full cork handle to keep it from drying out and breaking apart? Any suggestions would be awesome. Quote
Super User Tywithay Posted May 27, 2014 Super User Posted May 27, 2014 I don't think drying out is an issue. If you want to seal it to keep it cleaner and keep the filler from falling out, I recommend U40. I put it on all my cork. 1 Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 U40 cork seal is a water based polymer, easy to apply and lasts well 1 Quote
Capt.Bob Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 U40 cork seal is a water based polymer, easy to apply and lasts well X2 great stuff, I wouldn't even use it till I treated it, most rod bulders worth there salt sell it or can steer you to it, try Mud Hole I am pretty sure they sell it, or do a Google search for U40 cork sealer. I redo my cork every couple years. Quote
