Creekcrappie Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Is it just me or is this bait the most effective color on worms, but not as effective on any other styles of baits? Hard to beat a plum ol' monster. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 27, 2014 Global Moderator Posted May 27, 2014 I like Plum Apple better! I wish I could like this more times. Quote

Zach Dunham Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I have found purple-ish colors to work well. June Bug and Purple Peal Senkos work amazingly. 1 Quote

Hattrick7 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 What color water do you guys like to throw this color in? Quote
OroBass Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Wait red.... purple....????? I'm lost. Can you repeat the question please. Haha Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 6, 2014 Global Moderator Posted August 6, 2014 Is Zoom's "Red Bug" color a variation of Plum or Plum Apple? Red bug is more of a reddish variation of junebug than anything but not all that far off from plum either really. Blue fleck like RW mentioned is another one that's pretty close, or electric grape. What color water do you guys like to throw this color in? It's a very versatile color really. I've caught bass in water with a foot of visibility, to water with 10-20 feet of visibility like Table Rock. This is especially true of the plum apple color from Zoom. Wait red.... purple....????? I'm lost. Can you repeat the question please. Haha Different companies variations of plum vary a bit. The OP mentioned Zoom's Plum colored Ol' Monster which is reddish with purple/blue flake but some companies plum colors are more dark purple. Quote

gramps50 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Been using Rage-Tail 7" Thumpers & my best color is Junebug, the Blue Fleck that Road Warrior mentioned is pretty close but JB works better for me. YMMV Quote
ThatZX14Fella Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I'm plum overwhelmed - I guess I'm the only one that got that. Either that or I'm the only one with a sense of humor. Lol Quote

ThatZX14Fella Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Plum types vs watermelon types which is better? I've always had good luck on watermelon colors, but I don't think I've ever tried plum so I can't compare the two. Quote
TNRanger Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Plum Crazy is becoming my favorite Rage Craw color. The bass are choking it... Quote
