BDM Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Lazy Ikes...anyone use them for bass? Just wondering, i've never owned one. Quote
bear7625 Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I still have a wooden Lazy Ike and it still catches fish. There was a time when any tackle box you looked in had a couple. The new ones are plastic and never bothered to get one. Quote
B-Dozer Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I have the old ones too. Catch most anything on them, just fish them S L O W Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 26, 2011 Global Moderator Posted March 26, 2011 I've got a couple flatfish that I use for trout. You have to reel them extremly slow or they spin out, I imagine the lazy ikes are the same. Quote
Vinny Chase Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Doesn't hurt to try, but I would just use a wide wobbling crank bait instead like a mag wart Quote
tholmes Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I caught my first good bass on a Lazy Ike. Casting it along the deep edge of a weed bed and slowly retrieving it hooked me up with a chunky 3.5 pounder. In the right situation, I'm sure they would still catch bass. I may have to poke through the boxes of old tackle around here and see if I still have some around. Tom Quote
