lmb7 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 just wondering how all you keep your jigs stored. Quote
Hawgin Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I just bought the Falcon jig box. I'm not 100% sure about it yet. Quote
Garnet Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Jigs and hooks are stored in medical sample plastic jars. They seal and prevent rust. Garnet Quote
mike bat Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 falcon jig box .... that thing is sweet ;D Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted March 26, 2007 Super User Posted March 26, 2007 How many jigs does the falcon box hold? And will it hold the small swiming jigs too or is it better for the bigger jigs? Quote
volpster31 Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 i use a tackle logic wrap...it takes up a little less space in my bag than a plano type box Quote
Skidder Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Falcon Jig organizer. Holds 36 jigs. Trailers is a spinnerbait box with the dividers removed, in their original package. Thats how I roll. Quote
Brad_Coovert Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 I use the Plano boxes like Burley. BTW, that jig box is pretty empty Burley. Brad Quote
Super User burleytog Posted March 27, 2007 Super User Posted March 27, 2007 BTW, that jig box is pretty empty Burley. Brad You're telling me. I guess I need to rectify that. Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Yep, that about sums it up for me too. Me three. Quote
Garnet Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 No gaskett on that plastic box you will be throwing out rusty jigs very quickly. Check out these medical sample jars in the 90ml size they fit right in the plano exacter high box with a gaskett so you are doulbe sealed. My sister inlaw works for a medical supply company and I bought these plastic jars for 40 cents each now I never throw out rusty hooks or jigs. Starplex Scientific and look at leakbusters Garnet Quote
Skidder Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I disagree. The rubber gasket keeps moisture out but also in! I only have problems with cheap stuff rusting. Try a Inhibitor strip in each box, you won't have a problem. I will look into the jars though. Quote
Rebbasser Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Plano boxes here, too. One for casting, one for flipping, and one for finesse jigs. Quote
Garnet Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 You are correct if you get moisture in it will keep it in. I've had no problem unless I open a box when raining and I just dry it out when I get home. You will not be dissapointed in the sample bottles I just wish there was a little more geek in me to post the link 90ml with orange or blue lids are leak proof. Garnet Quote
michbass Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 To the falcon box guys.. Does it hold differernt sizes well? I have been tossing the idea of getting one around along with the spinner box. I just got a ton of 370 for .99 at the bps classic though. Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted April 5, 2007 Super User Posted April 5, 2007 The falcon box holds med to large jigs great ( 1/4,3/8,1/2,3/4,1/0 ). But for the small jigs, they move around in there slot, they do not fit real well. But I still like it. : Quote

michbass Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I disagree. The rubber gasket keeps moisture out but also in! I only have problems with cheap stuff rusting.Try a Inhibitor strip in each box, you won't have a problem. I will look into the jars though. Where are you getting those rust strips from? I can seem to find them anywhere? Quote
Garnet Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Stop at a electronics store they will give you a bunch. Garnet Quote
Bassassasin12 Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 I store mine the same way Burley does in Plano waterproof boxes...except I have 3 of them full now ;D Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted April 8, 2007 Super User Posted April 8, 2007 I also store them in Plano boxes, sorted by size/color/style/brand. This may sound stupid, but I toss a few packets of that dissectant in that comes with my wifes clothes/shoes, seems to keep the rust and moisture away Quote
Pa Angler Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Falcon has a neat Jig storage box sold at BPS. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_90577?cmCat=CROSSSELL&cmid=PP_P1_2 Quote
