Super User Catch and Grease Posted May 25, 2014 Super User Posted May 25, 2014 Anybody think this is a good lure? I just bought one to try it out but I hear the paint comes off easy and the hooks hardly get the fish. Should I bend the hooks up a bit? Quote
einscodek Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Well buy the white belly one then if yer worried. If the paint comes off they wont see it anyway. The only problem I have with the KVD frog is it has a rattle inside and I dont like that it may interfere with hookups. The plastic could be softer but then it wouldnt be as durable.. Its a good frog overall. Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted May 25, 2014 Author Super User Posted May 25, 2014 Yeah I was thinking the same thing about the rattle, I'm going fishing in the evening and I'll let y'all know what I think about it after fishing it. Quote
bassmaster8100 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I've used them quite a bit and have not had a problem with the paint coming off. My only dislike is the body is not as soft as a lot of others which I think affects the hook up ratio. But it is a great frog and I've caught tons of fish on them. Quote
SpencerLittle Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I'm not a big fan. Never had a probl with paint but just can't seem to make it do what I want. Spro's are made with writer quality and do what I tell them. Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted May 26, 2014 Author Super User Posted May 26, 2014 I used it but didn't catch anything or get any strikes, it seems like a good lure and I'm definitely gonna try it again. Quote
Cgrinder Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Green pumpkin pearl belly is great. They are good frogs. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted May 26, 2014 Super User Posted May 26, 2014 Meh. Not at the top of my list but not at the bottom either. Quote
