Pz3 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I have suddenly come to the conclusion that all the places I frequently fish have major pressure. After reading articles all over the web (including here) Ive decided my best bet is to use my old tackle box and build an emergency box for when the pressure is really on. I.E. West Lake Toho is fished consistantly year round. Has weekend tournaments frequently (upto 300 boats) and sometimes multiple tournaments on the same weekend. Im coming up with a list of things to get for this bad fishing day box. So far im looking at these items. 4"trick worms, Berkley leech, fat albert grubs, Tubes, Beetle spins, Hula grubs, Damiki hydra, and terminal. What kind of tackle do you keep in your emergency box for these really rough fishing days? Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted May 25, 2014 Super User Posted May 25, 2014 1/8 oz roadrunners... Look at some jig heads for walleyes.... And some soft plastic body's by linder brothers... 1 Quote
senko_77 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 A bait you don't have listed that will catch fish day in/day out, sunny, cloudy, post front, pre front, muddy, clear, windy, calm, or any other condition you can think of is the Keitech Swing Impact in 3.8 or 4.8 Rig it on a darter head with a high quality hook or a Owner swimbait hook with the small, cylindrical weight on it with the CPS spring on the hook eye. Make sure it is rigged dead straight and play around with the depth and speed you reel it. Reel it on the surface, count it down, or reel it along the bottom. This thing gets bit and works all the time. Also works great on a Scrounger head, on the back of a swim jig, or a chatterbait with or without the skirt. If the water is muddy, try the Fat Swing Impact. Something about this bait....it's special. They always eat this thing. 1 Quote
EvanT123 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 This sounds like my everyday box not an "emergency box" throw in some 3.5 inch tubes and mini flukes. 1 Quote
mikey5string Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Trick worms on an owner ultra shakey head jig. I use the regular size, i think its 5 or 6". This is my go to bait when fishing is tough. Roboworms & tiny flukes for drop shot. Small Jika rig with Owner's Yuki Bug and a "finesse" Carolina rig with a 1/3/0 worm hook and a split shot about 6" above. I don't fish wacky Senko's much anymore but I always have some on hand in case nothing else is working, Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted May 26, 2014 Super User Posted May 26, 2014 Go to the In-Fisherman site and research the "Ned Rig" You can't get any more finessful than the ned rig. Quote
