Looking for a spinning reel for around $150-200. Will use it for drop shots, tubes, shaky heads, and other  finesse applications. Let me know what you guys recommend. Thanks in advance!

I am going to try and sum this up.   You are going to get several answers to your post.  The first is going to be buy a Shimano Stradic FJ, because it is the best and made by Shimano.  There will those, myself included that will tell you to look at the Pflueger line of spinning reels great performance and good price.    The last will be post that tell you there is no need to spend that much money on a bass reel, because no freshwater fish will ever compare to the stress and wear that salt water fish and environment present.   In the end your budget is good and you will be able to find a nice reel that works for you.

I don't remember what forum it was, but I saw a feller with a lightly used Daiwa Fuego...that's the one. Otherwise, a Stradic FJ or find a deal on a CI4+.

Stradic FJ, at least be sure to check one out before buy anything else in that price range, you can find them below your price range, I prefer the 1000FJ, but some need the 2500FJ to balance the rod properly,,,,very important consideration!

Cabela's had the Stradic CI4 for $180, but they are sold out. If you shop around

this Shimano spinning reel should be available in your price range. The FJ has

been highly recommended, but for some the weight differential might be the

deciding factor.

The Abu Garcia Revo sx is another excellent reel for 159 comes with a mono spool and a braid ready spool and balances perfect on a St Croix LTB 6'10 M X-Fast

Get a Quantum Smoke reel I love mine! It's light weight and can pull in those big girls with ease. I have the SL 25 PTI and I had the 30 too but sold that to my buddy.

Like I said you will not be disappointed in this reel great reel for $160.
