bassguytom Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 What is the best time and place to fish the Fat Ika reversed? I want to try this out this year but I'm not sure when or where to fish it. Any help is appreciated. Quote
Comfortably Numb Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Skipping docks and under tree branches in shallow water 4/0 Owner Twistlock hook Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted May 22, 2014 Super User Posted May 22, 2014 Ive caught fish 2 feet from shore in 1 foot of water to 125' out 20' of water. Dragging over top of weedmats or letting it drop into the open pockets. It catches fish anywhere. I tossed spinnerbaits 2+ hours yesterday not a bite. First cast with palm tree(ika) on random long cast out in middle of lake it hit bottom I hopped it once, fish on. Caught 3 more the next 1 1/2 hour with it. Throw it out retrieve it sort of like a jig slowly twitch here and there or quick snap dart it off bottom let fall. You do have to be prepared to hook into them on the fall as well sometimes, so watch the line. Quote
Arv Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Fish them in water, any time. They're almost like a senko for me. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted May 22, 2014 Super User Posted May 22, 2014 Fish them as an alternative to a weightless Senko. For me that is <12' of water. This one was caught off a dock, on a Fat Ika at Guntersville: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/lake-guntersville-2012.html Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Ya 8-10 fow weightless and shallower if the drift or current is too fast. Also can be a good C-rig bait Quote
