I have not thrown swimbaits, really at all.  But I recently learned that someone was beasting a nearby Lake on a 5" Swimbait and a 3/4 oz weight.  I dont have any Heavy action rods and not sure I want to throw it on any of my favorite MH rods that are normally rigged up with something I will for sure be using like a jig or brush hog.  I have a 7' MH BPS Crankin Stick, but not sure if that will be good for a swimbait.  Its lure rating is 3/8 to 1 1/2 oz.  The Lure rating is perfect for the swimbaits, but not sure if the rod is a suitable rod for swimbaits.  I know its great for crankbaits and spinnerbaits.  I would assume it would be good for the swimbaits, but since i have yet to really throw a swimbait I would like yalls advice.  Is this rod a decent rod for the swimbaits?  Thanks homies

I wouldn't fish a swimbait on it, even the small ones you're talking about fishing. Are you going to fish it on a jighead I assume? If you really want to try it I'd probably go with braid and a high speed reel to try to compensate for the slower action rod.

what kind of rod would you recommend? Since I havent used a swimbait I really dont know what I am looking for in a swimbait rod.

I'd say cut off your jig or brush hog and throw it on one of your MH/F rods. Force yourself to use the swimbait a little more. If it doesn't work you can always take the 30 to a minute to re-rig. You want something that will drive the hook home on those swimbaits.

A cheap flipping stick would be another option. I picked up a 7' 6" H/F Ethos rod from Academy for $40 as a stand in swimbait rod until my custom is done being built. It's worked pretty well so far, especially for what I paid for it.

I throw my swimbaits up to 1 oz on a 7'3" Heavy glass rod that was custom made. The glass gives the fish more time to inhale the bait, and a heavy action glass rod doesn't have too whippy of a tip like glass crankin rods, but it is still more moderate than a heavy action graphite rod or flippin stick. Best of both worlds in my opinion. I also throw chatterbaits on it.

What kind of swimbait?

single hook with a jig head or hard bait with a treble or two and what kind of treble?

I actually think you could get away with that rod if you are using a bait with a treble or two unless you are using extremely heavy gauge trebles- which may not even be on a 3/4oz swimbait.  Don't use it with a single hook/jig hook type bait.

Throw it on the MH/fast with my experience the cranking stick doesnt have the backbone to set the hook home

I agree, would probably be decent for small treble hooked baits .

I haven't found a rod that will throw a 5" swimbait on a 3/4 oz jig head better than a 7' MH fast action graphite jig rod.  It's certainly easier to use than the 7' MH BPS Cranking Stick I tried them on.  And most MH jig rods are rated for more than 3/4 oz.  I throw them on braid with a fluoro leader and the 7' rod will cast them to distances at which you are on the jagged edge of getting a good hook set even with braid.  It's become one of my favorite presentations because you can fish it at any depth - and bass really like them.

It will work great with braided line and you drag set right. I do all the time and they work great for other moving baits.!The slow loading really lets fish get it down there mouth. I think I miss less and catch more fish like that.
