BassObsessed Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 If this is a bass I caught my biggest and smallest bass ever in a 2 month span. One of my private ponds I noticed a clump of fry swimming around near the bank so I reached with a tiny net and caught some of them. 5 Quote

Super User RoLo Posted May 21, 2014 Super User Posted May 21, 2014 I've caught some pretty tiny runts over the years, but you're PB has got me beat Anglers are known for puffing the goods, now we will find out if this is a bidirectional tendency Roger Quote
Super User tomustang Posted May 21, 2014 Super User Posted May 21, 2014 Don't count if netted 2 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 22, 2014 Global Moderator Posted May 22, 2014 Not the smallest bass but one of the smallest smallmouth I've ever caught. Little guy slammed the bait. That's a massive KVD 1.0 (2" 1/4oz) crankbait that he decided to try to tackle. Had a pretty similar sized one knock the fire out of a 78 pointer on the same lake a couple years before. 1 Quote
McKinneyLonghorn Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 The fish in this thread make my smallest bass look like a lunker. This was caught last summer in a local pond on a 1/16 oz Rapala floating minnow. Quote
RSM789 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I vote that netting doesn't count, since it wouldn't count for largest PB if you just scooped her up with a net. I would also suggest that all candidates need to be no more than 150% of the length than the lure they were caught on. This means that most entrants would be caught on crankbaits & topwaters, but I did snag a LM smaller than a football jig once. I can only imagine that he pecked the head of the jig & then didn't get out of the way when I set the hook. Quote
wisconsin heat Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Bit blurry picture, but here is mine Quote
