I need to come clean about something. Ya see my online persona differs slightly from the real me. Yes, I do live in the lovely state of Alabama. Yes, I am also a journeyman electrician. However, there is more to the story. I am not lacking a higher education. Here is the bombshell....

I not only graduated from, but also earned my Masters degree from MIT, in nuclear physics. I was in the top three of my class and was granted a full academic scholarship. My honors and awards were/are numerous in both academia and in the field. In closing I would like to say GO Beavers!!! Also, people in Cambridge talk weird as all hell.

At least this is what I have my current Forman and two project managers believing as of today.

And you were getting away with that story?

And don't you think you talk weird to a person in Cambridge attending MIT!

Alright, I'll come clean, I live 30 miles south of MIT and I can't figure out what they're saying! :eyebrows:

I speak with a British accent when I'm in Massachusetts.

They bought it today. They may try an disprove me tomorrow. Especially after I told the Missouri State grad (one of the project managers) that my acceptance letter was worth ten of his degrees. Good thing I'm good at physics and possess a strong knowledge of electricity.

Its all in fun though, its all just playful. I ain't about to start a fight with my contractor on my current job. Yet.

And they didn't ask why are you pulling wire if you have a masters from MIT?

Man you must be good at twisting nuts, both wire and human! LOL

How long you think you can keep this one rolling?

And BTW, use an irish accent in Boston, you'll blend in better.

I figured you'd be working for Westinghouse designing nuclear cores, if you had that degree....or better yet tell them you do this after being laid off from Browns Ferry, after you had it with the TVA and its shenanigans! Say you came down to Florida and considered working for FPL, but that it was too warm and the bass fishing sucked.

I like that. That is perfect.

I was gonna go with the tragic accident excuse. Either that or, I find sitting behind a desk to be insanely boring.

However, I'm really liking South FLA's idea as of now. It made me laugh out loud when I read it.

I imagine something like...."the job market is tough and they didn't like my cockiness, so I had to downgraded to journeyman electricity then ended up liking this better. I'm the jack of all trades b#$%#$"

It semi-believable.

Edit: Make it sound like you're a real life version of Sheldon Cooper. Employers hated your attitude. That'll work.

Well, with those qualifications, I think you should run for public office.  The higher, the better.

It doesn't matter what you do or where you got your degree. All that matters is that you like to fish, period!!! :)

I like how you think. You keep things in perspective. Especially since I have rekindled my passion for catching green fish again.

I'd like a valid birth certificate, just to prove he's a human being, let alone a natural born citizen.

Well he is from Bama, so getting written records might be out out.

Similar to Wisconsin, I believe everyone in Bama is related to each other.

I wish you were kidding. I swear every one up here is inbred. My buddy is related to over 3/4 of the people on one town. The kicker the town as over 10,000 people.

That would be Sand Mountain Alabama you are thinking of. My family immigrated here from Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Jersey. At least my dad and all my grandparents did.
