I.rar Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 im liking the 3" shad assassins i picked up. very easy to work but they sink hella slow. flukes too. Quote
crappie25 Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 this will be my first year fishing soft jerkbaits Quote
MNGeorge Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Tossup between YUM Houdini Shad and Lake Fork Magic Shad...caught many a river Smallie on both of them. I like the look of the one from Bruiser Baits though...may have to give them a swim or two this season. Quote
backwater4 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Started with slug go's, went to flukes and now it's keitechs. They don't hold up very well, but they do catch. Quote
JaxBasser Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 The Super Flukes are the only ones I've really used. They worked today when almost nothing else would. Quote
Captain Obvious Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 I just started fishing them myself zoom fluke is the only one I have used so far. Quote
crappie25 Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 i am off to a good start. bought 9 packs of 4 inch sluggo at $1.50 a pack, might buy some more. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 20, 2011 Super User Posted March 20, 2011 Tons of them out there. Most aren't any better, or worse, than the original Sluggo. I also like the Strike King Caffeine Shad. Quote
MaxumBass Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Zoom super flukes and Cabela's Agua-glow Hoochie-Choochie Shad. Quote
catchnm Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Slug-gos and Flukes. Not the same though.....different actions and fall rates. Slug-gos are heavier and get down faster than a Fluke, but when jerked near the surface they jump out of the water more....sometimes a great strike triggering plus. Quote
ryalred Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Without any doubt my favorite soft plastic jerk bait is the Zoom Salty Superfluke. No one can beat their color selection. Their action is superb. For me, they out-fish all other jerkbaits at least two to one. Quote
