Super User slonezp Posted May 20, 2014 Super User Posted May 20, 2014 He put up a video a week or so ago of a 30-35lb bag of smallies Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted May 20, 2014 Super User Posted May 20, 2014 Un - Real ~ ! I heard about that Beast yesterday - So glad we got to see it. "it's all about the big fish - and the potatoes " I love it. A-Jay Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted May 20, 2014 Super User Posted May 20, 2014 It sucks that they have to kill a fish to verify that it's a record, because that would have been a new state record more than likely! Either way, it's an awesome fish! Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted May 20, 2014 Super User Posted May 20, 2014 Records indicate that the Wisconsin State record Smallie is a 9 lb. 1 oz. fish taken in June 1950 from Indian Lake. This latest huge bass seemed close to that size for sure. A-Jay Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted May 20, 2014 Super User Posted May 20, 2014 Geez! That is one heck of a fish. Quote
JohnFromLisbon Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 That thing was huge! Makes me wish we had smallmouth on this side of the Atlantic... Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted May 20, 2014 Super User Posted May 20, 2014 OOps ... just posted the same vid. Missed this post. Sick Fish ... no pun intended. LOL Quote
Super User Darren. Posted May 20, 2014 Super User Posted May 20, 2014 Good gravy! What a beast of a smallie. D-double-dang! Quote
Brian Needham Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 am I the only one thinking, "geez, you are a guide, buy a decent scale." I understand the scale might be dead on accurate.....but I want to see the digital!!! donkey of a fish though. 1 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted May 21, 2014 Super User Posted May 21, 2014 Brian, most digital scales are far less accurate than a good spring scale. The big advantage to a digital is the it's easy to read and photograph. Quote
Brian Needham Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I understand Francho, that's why I said it the way I did......I am sure that rusty spring scale is SUPER accurate (which is the reason it has lasted this long) I just always hate to the see the word "approximately" used when talking fish weight....... spring for a really good scale (no pun intended). Super User J Francho Posted May 21, 2014 Super User Posted May 21, 2014 I weigh all my fish with a Zebco Deliar, lol. Quote
