Kevin Beachy Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 Way to go Kevin!.....Tell us what equipment you were using , line, etc. I was a dinky 5.5ft reverb shakespear pole with a sakespeare excursion reel on with 6lb on it We made a mistake when we were measuring. We thought 1ft 10in was the equivalent of 20 inches which is wrong. It was actually 22 inches. Quote

I had one the same length that went 7 3/4 last year, it was 18" around, so your fish must have been pretty close to that too Quote
VAHunter Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 ( with a spro popping frog. 6lb on it So, you are fishing a Spro frog on 6 lb. line? Yikes. I use light line all the time, but never with a frog. In fact, I never use anything but braid with a frog. I want a solid hookset. Even then you'll lose fish simply because that's frog fishing. Frogs and 6 lb. line -- you're the man. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted May 22, 2014 Super User Posted May 22, 2014 Saw this thread yesterday and been waiting on a fatty pic since. Let's see it! Quote
