Droppingshot Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 I liked watching Denny Brauers videos on YouTube. Also lakeforkguide and bassresource. Watch all their jig videos, there are plenty of them. I'm just learning to fish a jig as well but I started getting better when I would throw it all day and not pick up my confidence bait. Also I really like strike king rage craws on my jigs. They look crazy and have amazing action. Right now with the water temps in the low 70s I usually am flipping jigs near cover. I let the jig fall on a semi slack line. Line watching the whole time even though I usually feel the bite. Let the jig sit for 5-10 seconds and barely shake it. Then I double hop it and pause. Double hop and pause till I'm out of the strike zone. 1 Quote

BigKev77 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Throw into a big gnarly mess let it fall, watch your line, shake it, watch your line, hop it, watch your line, set the hook hard, and repeat. That is just one of many ways to fish a jig. That sticky has what you need and more. Quote
