livetofish28 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 It would be challenge that is a stiff stick 5 is doable 4 is a pain and doesn't load well at all. Add a 1/4 ounce weight and yes both can be done Tight lines Andrew Quote
catch anything Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 ok I throw 5in and 6in senkos, this is possibly going to be my all around idk yet though I also really like the duckett ghost's Quote
Mike2841 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Spinning or casting? Either way I would get the medium veritas Quote
Bank4Bass Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I love my 7' mh veritas for t rigs and spinnerbaits Quote
catch anything Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 im looking at the casting version Quote
jlwest506 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I throw senkos on my 6'8 mh Duckett ghost. Weightless. Love it. Quote
Mikell Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I have a 73 mh ghost and i love it! its actually pretty versatile Quote
catch anything Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 Iv heard the ghost or really ducketts fish down a power so mh fish like a m is that true? A lot of ponds that I fish get thick with lily pads and grass so that's why I was looking at a vertais or the duckett ghost 7'3 h Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted May 18, 2014 Super User Posted May 18, 2014 I have a 6'6" M/F 2PC Veritas with a Core 50Mg sitting on it. I can throw 4" & 5" Senkos quite nicely with it. Though I don't have problems throwing 5" Senkos with any of my combos. Good luck with what you pick. Quote
Hattrick7 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Heck yeah with or without a weight. Great rod for the money. Quote
Lazz Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I'm honestly shocked at the replies. Are we talking weightless or weighted? I have a 7'3 MH that I would never throw a weightless Senko on ...would tear it to pieces... I'm like the only one who thinks its a broomstick. Definitely go with a M...imho. 1 Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted May 21, 2014 Super User Posted May 21, 2014 I throw weightless senkos (5") all the time on a 7'4" heavy loomis rod.... Never tear them casting Quote
Koofy Smacker Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 A MH casting Veritas is too heavy if thats what you are buying it for. It is a stiff blank they use. I have that exact rod and actually love it for carolina rigs and heavy jigs in 20-30 ft of water. Definitely go with the Medium if you want to throw senkos on it. Quote
Jd_Phillips_Fishin Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 My dad is a huge fan of the Veratas and he's thrown sencos on the mh with out any problems. Quote
