ABW Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 How stiff is the 7' MH? Do the new models feel like a broomstick? Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted May 17, 2014 Super User Posted May 17, 2014 Popular opinion is that Abu rods are a little heavier than rated. I don't see how "a little heavier than rated" could turn a MH into a broomstick. My Abu rods are both Villains, a ML spinning rod and a 7'6" MH b/c rod. I can tell you that the casting rod is a poor caster with its low rated limit of 3/8 oz. Even a 1/2 oz. lure is lighter than I will use on this rod. I'm sure someone...or two...with experience using that particular rod will chime in with some factual comments. Quote
Lazz Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I got a 7'3 M/H an its heavier than the 3 H's I got .... yea it's a broomstick. Quote
yukyuklee Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 bought 2 a caster and a spinning and both are collecting dust in my closet... +3 on Broomstick Quote
Blues19 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Its stiff, but I like it. I can cast pretty decently with a 5/16 oz jig. Im a big fan of the 7' MH. I was so happy with my first that i got a 2nd Quote
tbone1993 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 The 7ftmh is a great push pole for fishing in shallow water. Quote
