Anybody have anything positive/negative to say about the Terminator Spinnerbaits? BPS is running a sale tomorrow of buy 5 for $10 (depending on your store). I'll probably pick some up because I don't have a wide selection of spinnerbaits...

They're worth it at that price.  I've not had the best of luck with them, construction wise.  Heads chip, skirts tear, and the blades seem to tarnish faster.

THat said, for $2 I can put up with a lot.

Meh, i have one terminator, haven't caught anything on it but i still fish it. I like KVDs signature spinnerbaits more, but  for 2 bucks a piece... I'd bite.

Do the blades spin?  Does the skirt shimmy?  If yes, then use it.  Brand means nothing if those two questions are answered with 'yes'.

its pretty much all i use for a spinner bait cuz i found a sale like that a few years ago and loaded up. it was the go to for pike and bass last spring easily over 200 of my fish were caught on T1 spinners last year never had an issue

From my understanding they aren't the ones on the shelves. It will be last years models I believe. At least at the gurnee store. Again, this could be wrong but thats what I heard yesterday at work. I'm going in during my lunch hour and grabbing a couple johnny sigs and will take a peak at the terminators.

I like Terminators because I like how you never have to tune them.  If you have color issues, well, replacement skirts are cheap.

The standard T-1 spinnerbaits is a good bait, and would be a steal at $2. They're good baits with gold plated blades and a sharp, needle point hook.

The T-2 is a poor mans version of the T-1 that's usually found in bargains bins and liquidators like Overstock.com. These have brass blades that quickly tarnish and crappy, cut point hooks. They're only worth $2, so it's not much of a deal.

Probably, Gander Mtn. has them all for sale for $2 a piece right now in clearance bins. I believe they are changing the packaging, hence the clearance prices. I picked one up last year when they were on clearance at gander, but not the traditional spinnerbait, their "hybrid" terminatorlures.com/hybrids/hybrid_blade_series/ .... The only real reason I picked it up was because it looked different, and was $2. Surprisingly I have actually caught a good number of pike river fishing with the thing.

I have allot of the t1's but I have to admit I have not caught many fish on them. I for some reason think that anything swimmin would want to eat it but apparently they don't want them that much. I still throw em though. I do have some with chipped heads but I have never lost a blade and never have I found blade tarnished. So as long as it's a quality t1 for 2$ I would go for it.

T1s good. T2s not so good. I've only had 1 T1 that was a POS out of the package and I stripped the blades and skirt and tossed it. The arm was at an incorrect angle and the blades wouldn't spin. No adjustment would make it work, so...My best T1 got carted off by a big pike in MN.

I personally have bought alot of t1 spinnerbaits. They seem to work relatively well on the lake i fish on. i also make my own skirts wich helps if you cant find the colors your looking for go to the ***.com and you can make some skirts or buy them at a decent price.

good price, but they have to be tuned all the time. Go with wareagle run straight and wired skirts

How? None of my T1s have ever needed tuning, even if they did how can you? The arms snap back or don't bend at all.

X2

I've snatched up 3 and 4lb. bass into the boat with these things. The wire will be completely stretch out straight but the second you take the weight off they snap right back to original form. I've been fishing them since the first day I laid eyes on them and I've NEVER seen one bend.

I'll have to disagree with you about them having to be tuned all the time.

Can you even tune a T-1?  They always spring back in shape for me.

Question, anyone know how to contact Terminator baits? I can't find a single email adress or phone number. There was one but it doesn't work anymore. I think it was the one before Normark or Rapala or whatever bought Terminator out that I used.
