fhsfish Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I just made my first order of jigs from siebert outdoors. I ordered the dredge series brush jigs in 3/8 oz. While I'm waiting on them, what do you guys think makes the best trailer to match up with those in flooded timber/brush? I've had good success the last few days on some cheap jigs I bought at bass pro rigged with a havoc craw fatty as my trailer, but I'd like to get some opinions on other things to try Quote
Mccallister25 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Iv heard of people using all kinds of things for trailers. Normally I just use a rage craw or chunk. 1 Quote
CJV Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Rage craws Net bait paca chunks Grandebass mega claws You can't pretty much use whatever. Quote
papajoe222 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I just got my order today and I plan on pairing them up with either a RageTail craw or a CrawPapi. I may go to a chunk if I'm faced with cold front conditions. I have some of his swim jigs that I'll be pairing up with either a Kalin's grub or 3.5 Money Minnow. They're a killer retrieved over the tops of weeds and paused over the openings. They're also a great option for fishing down a point. Quote
Creekcrappie Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Paca chunks. Best ones out there for warmer water. Quote
Preytorien Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I use Rage Craws, Rage Chunks, and lately the new Netbait Paca Punch All seem to be equally effective Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted May 15, 2014 Super User Posted May 15, 2014 Rage craws and chunks, and when I want to go small I bite a baby rage craw in half and use that as a trailer. Quote
