Steve1357 Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Stopped by Walmart this week, they had a new Vicious Fishing cardboard display in the midway just out from the sporting goods register. Lots of lures, spinnerbaits, hard baits, soft baits, hooks, crappie jigs, etc. Everything 1.97 each. I grabbed some spinnerbaits, they appear to have ball bearing swivels, lots of sizes and colors, and blade combinations. fwiw Quote
bassking1976 Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 wish my walmart would get some new stuff in lure selection has seemed to diminish over the years Quote
Steve1357 Posted March 20, 2011 Author Posted March 20, 2011 I know what you mean, diminished and much much higher prices. Here they want $3 for Spots I can get from the manufacturer for $2. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted March 21, 2011 Super User Posted March 21, 2011 Man I made out like a bandit at wally world the other day. I picked up about 40 bags of Yum F2 plastics and a load of Bomber cranks for a grand total of $29. Bass Pro or Cabelas would have gotten a check for about $250, I'd say. All of it was mismarked and in the nickle bins. I brought it to the managers attention, his remark was something along the lines of "You're lucky day from our mistake, then." Quote
The Guy Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I got a vicious popper the other day. I only got to make a few casts with it but I did have a blow up on it. It looks good in the water for only being $2. Quote
PondBoss Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 I got a couple of the minnow baits and the small cranks, been cleaning up in less than 4 feet of water. There must be something about the action, cuz I can't buy a bite on similar colors of other brands. Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Their spinnerbaits look exactly like the laser eye SB that BPS offers. Got a SB,Crank, and some football jig heads. Quote
PondBoss Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 One thing I forgot to mention is, change the hooks on the cranks. One or two fish and they will be mangled. Quote
philsoreel Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 My Wal-Mart put the same displays up at the checkout lines. I grabbed some of the drop-shot weights and football heads. The bait keeper on the football head bends very easily. Be careful, bend it too far and it'll break off. For $1.96...I'll give anything a try. Quote
