boostr Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Ok, the top hot pink spinner is a Fish Belly 3/8oz double gold and silver willow leaf spinner on a spinner. When and what water conditions would use this fancy color? The bottom is a Booyah 3/8 gold willow, and silver Colorado. With the colors its in, what fish or bait fish is this supposed to imitate. Super User aavery2 Posted May 13, 2014 Super User Posted May 13, 2014 Top one, clear water, enough wind to cause a ripple on the water, partly cloudy. Bottom one is a sexy shad variant and KVD says they can be fished with success in most any water color. Spinner baits have been most effective for me in rippled water with overcast, partly cloudy skies. 1 Quote
Super User aavery2 Posted May 13, 2014 Super User Posted May 13, 2014 Thanks A guy I know always fishes pink under bridges, thinks that it imitates a baby bird falling off the bridge into the water. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Bubble Gum flukes and hard baits seem to work well for small mouth especially early in the year. The other looks like a fair representation of a bluegill. I'd throw that around the deep edge of a bed colony later on. 1 Quote
Super User aavery2 Posted May 13, 2014 Super User Posted May 13, 2014 But I never seen a hot pink baby bird. Have you seen them before they get feathers? Quote
river-rat Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Pink is a great color in very clear water. Use it with a fast retrieve. The other spinnerbait could be used in anything from stained to clear. 1 Quote
